A small second sink earns its keep fast. On a home bar it rinses shakers, jiggers and margarita glasses between rounds. On a kitchen island it becomes the prep station where you wash cilantro, rinse limes and soak dried chiles while someone else uses the main sink. The faucet on that sink has a different job from the big kitchen faucet: it has to fit a small basin, clear a tall glass or pitcher, and not splash water over the counter.
This guide covers eight bar and prep sink faucets from Moen, Kohler, Delta, Grohe, Kraus, American Standard and Pfister. We give spout height and reach where the maker or listing states them, the lead-free statement each maker gives, and “not stated” where they are silent.

Quick verdict: which bar sink faucet to buy
For most home bars and island prep sinks, the best bar sink faucet is the Moen Arbor Pulldown Bar Faucet: a 14.38-inch spout height that clears pitchers and cocktail shakers, a 68-inch pull-down hose, Moen’s Power Clean spray and Reflex docking. If your sink has three holes, the Kohler Crue Bar Faucet includes the escutcheon plate and carries an NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 listing. For the tightest spaces, the Kraus Oletto Bar Faucet, and for a classic two-handle faucet, the Pfister Pfirst.

Our picks for the best bar sink faucet
All eight are faucets made for bar and prep sinks, from established plumbing makers. They cover pull-down sprayers, fixed high-arc spouts and a two-handle faucet, in stainless, brass, chrome and black. Each pick explains who it suits and gives one honest reason to skip it.
1. Moen Arbor Pulldown Bar Faucet, Spot Resist Stainless – Tall Spout, Long Hose

The Arbor bar faucet is a scaled-down version of Moen’s familiar pull-down kitchen faucet, and on a small sink that is exactly what you want. Moen lists a spout height of 14.38 inches and a reach of 6.56 inches, so a tall pitcher, a cocktail shaker tin or a stockpot lid fits under it, while the spout still lands in the middle of a compact basin.
The pull-down head runs on a 68-inch hose, according to Moen, long enough to rinse every corner of a bar sink or fill a pitcher sitting next to it on the counter. The listing describes two spray modes, Moen’s Power Clean spray, which Moen says gives 50 percent more spray power than pull-down faucets without it, and Reflex docking to pull the head back into the spout.
Moen’s product page says it fits one or three holes, with an optional escutcheon (141002) sold separately for three-hole sinks, and that it meets California’s AB1953 and Vermont’s S152 lead laws. Flow is 1.5 gpm maximum. The Spot Resist Stainless finish resists fingerprints and water spots, per the listing, and Moen backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.
Why we like it
- 14.38-inch spout height clears tall glasses and pitchers
- 68-inch pull-down hose, per Moen
- Power Clean spray and Reflex docking
- Limited lifetime warranty

Why we recommend it
Choose it if you want the full pull-down kitchen-faucet experience on a small sink, with enough height for pitchers and a hose long enough to reach beyond the basin.
Skip it if a shelf or cabinet hangs low over your bar sink; a 14-inch spout needs headroom.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Tallest spout on this page
- Long hose for a small faucet
- Finish hides water spots
Cons
- Needs headroom above the sink
- Three-hole escutcheon costs extra

2. Kohler Crue Bar Faucet, Vibrant Brushed Moderne Brass – Fits One or Three Holes

Many older bar sinks were drilled for a three-hole faucet, and replacing one with a modern single-hole faucet usually means buying a deck plate separately. Kohler’s Crue bar faucet includes the escutcheon plate, so it installs in one hole or three out of the box, according to Kohler’s spec sheet. The flexible supply lines are included too.
The high-arch swing spout rotates 150 degrees, and Kohler gives a spout reach of 7-7/8 inches, the longest on this page. A single lever sets the temperature, and Kohler’s temperature memory turns the faucet back on at the temperature you last used, handy when you rinse glasses in cold water every time. Flow is 1.5 gpm at 60 psi.
Kohler’s spec sheet lists NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 among its codes and standards, along with ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1, and a lifetime limited warranty. Kohler recommends its Aquifer under-sink filtration systems with this faucet. Besides this warm brushed brass, Kohler sells it in chrome, stainless and matte black.
Why we like it
- Escutcheon for three-hole sinks included
- NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and 372 listed by Kohler
- 7-7/8-inch reach
- Temperature memory

3. Grohe Concetto Pull-Down Bar Faucet, SuperSteel – Two Sprays and Easy-Clean Nozzles

On an island prep sink, a spray matters more than on a bar: you are rinsing herbs, tomatillos and a colander of beans, not just glasses. Grohe’s Concetto bar faucet has a pull-down head with a regular stream and a spray, and the nozzles are Grohe’s SpeedClean rubber type, which the listing says you can rub clear of limescale with a fingertip. That helps in a city with hard water.
The spout swivels 360 degrees, which the listing calls island-friendly: you can swing it toward whoever is working on either side. The handle uses Grohe’s SilkMove ceramic cartridge, and the listing describes the faucet as drip-free.
On lead, the listing describes a GROHE Zero lead-free design, with inner waterways that keep water from touching the metal body. The listing does not give spout height or reach, and we could not open Grohe’s product page when we checked, so we list them as not stated. It fits a single-hole sink and carries a limited lifetime warranty, per the listing.
Why we like it
- Stream and spray on a pull-down head
- SpeedClean nozzles for hard water
- Waterways isolated from the metal body, per the listing
- 360-degree swivel for an island

4. Kraus Oletto Bar Faucet, Spot Free Stainless Steel – Built for Tight Corners

Home bars are often squeezed under a shelf or into a corner, and the Kraus Oletto is designed for that. The listing gives a faucet height of 12 inches and a spout reach of 6-1/2 inches, and the handle rotates 90 degrees forward rather than swinging back, so it works when the faucet sits close to a wall or backsplash.
The high-arc spout swivels 360 degrees, flow is 1.8 gpm, and Kraus pre-attaches the water lines and includes the mounting hardware. The listing describes lead-free solid brass construction and a Spot Free stainless finish that resists water spots and fingerprints, which matters on a bar where the faucet is on display.
Kraus pairs it with its Oletto kitchen faucets for a matching look between the main sink and the bar or island. It carries a lifetime limited warranty, per the listing. There is no sprayer, so it is a filling and rinsing faucet rather than a cleanup tool.
Why we like it
- Forward-turning handle for tight installs
- 12-inch height, 6-1/2-inch reach
- Pre-attached water lines
- Lifetime limited warranty
Key specifications
| Model | Kraus Oletto KPF-2822SFS |

- Easy install with attached lines
- Spot-resistant finish
Cons
- No sprayer
- Shortest reach here

5. Pfister Pfirst Two-Handle Bar and Prep Faucet, Chrome – Separate Hot and Cold

Some bar sinks only ever see cold water, and some owners simply prefer turning a hot and a cold handle. The Pfister Pfirst is a plain two-handle bar and prep faucet in polished chrome, sold as part of Pfister’s trade line. It is the simplest faucet on this page, and simple is not a bad thing on a sink you use for rinsing glasses.
The listing states that it complies with NSF/ANSI 372 and conforms with the lead-free requirements of the US Safe Drinking Water Act and California, Vermont, Maryland and Louisiana law, the clearest lead statement of any listing here. It meets ADA/ANSI A117.1 accessibility requirements, installs on counters up to 1 inch thick, and comes with a decorative deck plate and all the installation hardware.
The listing does not give spout height, reach or flow rate, so check the photos against your sink before you buy. The warranty field reads “Guaranteed for life.”

6. Delta Modern Bar Prep Faucet, SpotShield Stainless – A Compact Delta for Small Sinks

If the rest of your kitchen is Delta, this is the bar faucet that matches. Delta lists an overall height of 11-1/2 inches, a 1.5 gpm flow at 60 psi and a spout that swivels 360 degrees. It is a fixed spout with a single handle, a modern shape that suits a small bar or prep sink without drawing attention.
Delta’s product page says it is tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 and labels it no-lead compliant. The listing says the ceramic disc valve is built to last at least 500,000 uses, and the gasket seal helps keep drips from leaking under the sink. It installs in one hole, or in a three-hole sink with Delta’s optional deck plate RP103661, sold separately.
Delta does not state the spout reach on its product page. The faucet carries Delta’s lifetime limited warranty. It is also sold in a Champagne Bronze finish.
Why we like it
- Certified to NSF/ANSI 61, per Delta
- Compact 11-1/2-inch height

7. Kohler Simplice Bar Faucet, Vibrant Stainless – Pairs With a Kohler Filter

A bar sink is a natural place for filtered water: it is where you fill ice trays, pitchers and the water for agua fresca. Kohler’s Simplice bar faucet is listed as compatible with Kohler’s Aquifer under-sink filtration systems, so the bar sink can double as a filtered tap.
Kohler’s spec sheet gives a spout reach of 7-1/4 inches, a high-arch swing spout with 180 degrees of rotation and a flow of 1.5 gpm at 60 psi. Like the Crue, it has Kohler’s temperature memory and ceramic disc valves, and it comes with flexible supply lines for a single-hole installation.
The spec sheet lists NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372, ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 and Kohler’s lifetime limited warranty. It is also sold in chrome, matte black and brushed moderne brass.

8. American Standard Studio S Pull-Down Bar Faucet, Stainless – A Sprayer That Docks Smoothly

American Standard’s Studio S is a contemporary single-hole pull-down bar faucet with a stream spray, aimed at entertaining and prep sinks. Its Re-Trax system is meant to make the hose extend, retract and dock smoothly, according to the listing.
The high-arc spout rotates 360 degrees, and the handle rotates forward so it does not hit the backsplash, a help on narrow bar counters. The valve is a ceramic disc for drip-free use, and the spout is brass with a metal body and lever.
The listing states the faucet contains 0.25 percent total lead content by weighted average, the federal lead-free limit, and carries a limited lifetime warranty. It does not give spout height, reach or flow, and we could not open American Standard’s product page when we checked.
Why we like it
- Re-Trax smooth hose retraction
- Forward-rotating handle clears a backsplash
- States the 0.25 percent weighted-average lead limit

How to choose a prep sink faucet for an island or bar
Count the holes first
Look under the sink or at the deck. A single-hole faucet fits a single hole, and most also fit three holes with a deck plate, which some makers include (Kohler Crue, Pfister) and others sell separately (Moen, Delta). Never buy a faucet that needs more holes than your sink or counter has.
Spout height against what is above the sink
Measure from the sink deck to any shelf, cabinet or window above it. A tall spout like the Moen Arbor’s 14.38 inches clears pitchers and shaker tins but needs room above. Under a low shelf, a compact faucet like the Kraus Oletto or Delta is the safer choice.
Reach against the size of the basin
Bar sinks are small, so a short reach is fine. The water should land near the middle of the basin, not on the back edge. The faucets here run from 6-1/2 to 7-7/8 inches of reach where stated.

Pull-down or fixed spout
A pull-down sprayer earns its place on an island prep sink, where you rinse produce and clean the basin. On a pure drinks bar, a fixed spout is simpler and has fewer parts to wear. If you choose a pull-down, look for a dock that holds the head firmly.
Lead-free statement
A bar sink is often where people fill glasses, so the lead rules matter. The EPA’s lead-free rule caps lead at a weighted average of 0.25 percent across wetted surfaces. Kohler and Delta name NSF/ANSI certification for their models here; we quote every maker’s statement exactly and say where a listing gives none.
Match the main faucet
If the bar or prep sink is in view of the main sink, buy from the same maker and finish. Kraus, for example, pairs the Oletto bar faucet with its Oletto kitchen faucets, and Kohler sells matching bar and kitchen faucets in several collections.
How we chose these eight bar faucets
We searched Amazon’s catalogue for bar and prep faucets from Moen, Kohler, Delta, Grohe, Kraus, American Standard, Pfister and others, and kept only faucets made for bar or prep sinks that were in stock with a new offer when we checked. We read Moen’s and Delta’s product pages and Kohler’s spec sheets, and used the Amazon listing for Grohe, Kraus, American Standard and Pfister, saying so in each review. We searched for an independent review of bar sink faucets and did not find one we could rely on; the results were mostly thin list pages. We also checked the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall database by brand and found no bar faucet recalls for these makers.
We have not installed or used these faucets ourselves. We left out low-cost bar faucets from unfamiliar online sellers, and we did not repeat any faucet from our kitchen faucet guides.
Bar sink faucet questions, answered
What is the difference between a bar faucet and a kitchen faucet?
Size. A bar faucet is scaled for a small sink, with a shorter reach so water lands in the middle of a narrow basin. Many have the same features as kitchen faucets, including pull-down sprayers and the same finishes.
What is the best prep sink faucet for an island?
A pull-down with a real spray and a 360-degree swivel, so you can rinse produce and turn the spout toward either side of the island. Of the faucets here, the Grohe Concetto and the Moen Arbor fit that job best.
Can I use a bar faucet for filtered water?
Yes, with a separate filter under the sink. Kohler lists the Simplice and Crue as compatible with its Aquifer filtration systems.
Do bar faucets need hot water?
Not always. Some home bars run cold water only, which is fine for rinsing glasses and filling pitchers. If you plan a cold-only bar sink, ask your plumber how to connect the faucet you choose, following the maker’s instructions.
Can I install a bar sink faucet myself?
Swapping a faucet onto existing supply lines is a common do-it-yourself job, following the maker’s instructions. Adding a new sink to an island means new supply and drain lines, which is a job for a licensed plumber in most places.
Our final pick for a bar or island sink
Buy the Moen Arbor if you want a tall pull-down faucet that clears pitchers and reaches past the basin. Choose the Kohler Crue for a three-hole sink and clear NSF certification, the Grohe Concetto for an island prep sink, the Kraus Oletto for a tight corner, or the Pfister Pfirst for a classic two-handle faucet. For the main sink, see our guide to the best kitchen faucet, and if you are still planning the island itself, the best kitchen island.
