A mini muffin pan looks like a smaller version of a standard pan, but it behaves differently. Small bites bake fast, so uneven heat shows quickly, and with 24 cups in a small footprint there is often nowhere to put your hands.
This guide compares eight pans, including the ones an independent review rated, and explains which suit party trays, egg bites and big batches.

Quick verdict: which mini muffin pan to buy
For most kitchens, the best mini muffin pan is the Wilton Perfect Results Premium 24-Cup Pan: America’s Test Kitchen named it a Best Buy for its easy handling and well-shaped results. If grip matters most, choose the Rachael Ray Yum-o! 24-Cup Pan, which the same reviewers found the most secure to hold. For a heavier pan with a stated warranty, choose the All-Clad Pro-Release.

Our picks for the best mini muffin pan
These eight pans are all metal, as the review favors, and they range from a basic entry pan to a four-dozen sheet. Each pick says who it suits and gives one honest reason to skip it.
1. Wilton Perfect Results Premium 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan – A Reviewed Pan That Bakes Evenly

The pick most home bakers should start with, because it has outside evidence behind it. America’s Test Kitchen named Wilton’s Perfect Results Premium 24-cup pan its Best Buy, saying it handled as easily as the winner and turned out nicely shaped mini muffins and financiers, though slightly less evenly baked.
This listing is the single silver pan in that line. It is steel with a nonstick coating and 24 cups, and our muffin tin guide covers the two-pan set from the same line if you want more capacity. The listing itself is brief, so we are relying on the review for how it behaves.
Why we like it
- Best Buy in the America’s Test Kitchen review
- Steel, the material the review favored
- Nonstick coating
- Sold as a single pan
Key specifications
| Model | 2105-6819 |

| Warranty | Not stated in this listing |
Why we recommend it
Choose it if you want one proven pan for mini muffins, mini cupcakes and small savory bites, and you do not need a long list of specifications.
Skip it if you want every detail spelled out. The listing is short, so check the care and warranty on the box. The offer we saw also came from a third-party seller.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Backed by an independent review
- Easy to handle, per that review
- Bakes nicely shaped minis
Cons
- Slightly less even than the review’s winner
- Thin listing details
- Coating type not stated
2. Rachael Ray Yum-o! 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan – Grippy Handles, Easy to Hold

A small pan is hard to grab through thick oven mitts, and this is the pan to solve that. America’s Test Kitchen gave it a Recommended rating, called it by far the most comfortable and secure tin to hold, and noted the widest rim in the group.
The listing describes heavy-gauge steel that resists warping, a long-lasting nonstick coating, and an oven rating of 500°F, the highest on this page. The review’s one mark against it was slightly less even browning.
The orange grips are part of the design rather than a color option on every listing, so check the handle color if it matters in your kitchen.
Why we like it
- Most comfortable to hold in the review
- Widest rim among the pans it tested
- Oven safe to 500°F, per the listing
- Heavy-gauge steel

Why we recommend it
Choose it if you have a weak grip, or you often move a full pan with mitts on. Secure handling is worth more than perfect browning for most bites.
Skip it if you want the most even browning. The reviewers rated its evenness below the winner’s.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Secure grips
- Widest rim tested
- High oven rating
Cons
- Browning slightly less even
- Bright grips will not suit every kitchen
- Care details not stated

3. All-Clad Pro-Release 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan – Heavy, With a Lighter Finish

The step up for regular bakers. All-Clad uses heavy-gauge aluminized steel with a ceramic-reinforced coating, and its lighter gray finish is meant to help prevent overbrowning, a real concern with something this small.
The handles are generously sized so mitts stay clear of batter, and All-Clad rates the pan to 450°F. Although it is listed as dishwasher safe, the maker recommends soap, water and a sponge to preserve the nonstick, along with silicone, nylon or wooden tools.
The listing says it was designed in Pennsylvania and made in China, and it carries a limited lifetime warranty.
Why we like it
- Heavy-gauge aluminized steel
- Lighter nonstick finish to limit overbrowning
- Generous handles
- Limited lifetime warranty
Key specifications
| Model | J2575164 |
|---|---|
| Cups | 24 |
| Material | Heavy-gauge aluminized steel |
| Coating | Ceramic-reinforced nonstick |
| Cup size | Not stated |
| Oven limit | 450°F |
| Care | Dishwasher safe; maker suggests hand washing |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime |
Why we recommend it
Choose it if you bake minis often and want heft and a stated warranty. The listing is specific about all of this.
Skip it if you bake minis twice a year. The Wilton has review backing and is the simpler buy for occasional use.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Clear, specific listing
- Lighter finish
- Long warranty
Cons
- Made in China despite the US design
- No independent test of this pan found
- Coating needs gentle tools
4. KitchenAid 24-Cup Aluminized Steel Mini Muffin Pan – Extended Handles, Dishwasher Safe

A mid-range pan with the two things that matter on this size: aluminized steel and proper handles. KitchenAid says the steel spreads heat consistently, and the extended handles leave room for pot holders.
It is sold for mini muffins, cupcakes, quiches and egg bites, and it is dishwasher safe. Several color versions exist under other listings. The listing does not give an oven limit or a warranty.
Why we like it
- Aluminized steel
- Extended handles for pot holders
- Sold for sweet and savory bites
- Dishwasher safe
Key specifications
| Model | KQ959OSNSA |
|---|---|
| Cups | 24 |
| Material | Aluminized steel |
| Coating | Nonstick |
| Cup size | Not stated |
| Oven limit | Not stated |
| Care | Dishwasher safe |

Why we recommend it
Choose it for a practical pan that goes into the dishwasher and comes from a brand you may already own.
Skip it if you want an outside verdict. It was not in the review we read, and we found no independent test of it.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Handles leave room for mitts
- Dishwasher safe
- Several colors sold
Cons
- No stated oven limit
- No warranty stated
- No independent test found
5. Wilton Gold 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan – Made Without PFAS, Per Wilton

For bakers who want a coated pan and care what the coating is made without. Wilton sells this line as made without PFAS, with a scratch-resistant, easy-release coating over alloy steel.
The listing gives 16 by 10 by 1 inch overall, extended handles, resistance to warping and an oven limit of 450°F. It is listed as dishwasher safe and it is a mini pan despite the plain “Muffin Pan” name, so go by the size field, which says Mini.
This is a separate product from the Perfect Results pan at the top of this list, and the review we read did not cover it.
Why we like it
- Made without PFAS, per Wilton
- Alloy steel, resists warping
- Extended handles
- 16 by 10 by 1 inch overall
Key specifications
| Model | 191011473 |
|---|---|
| Cups | 24 |
| Material | Alloy steel |
| Coating | Easy-release, made without PFAS |
| Cup size | Not stated |
| Oven limit | 450°F |
| Care | Dishwasher safe, per the title |
| Warranty | Not stated in detail |
Why we recommend it
Choose it if a stated PFAS-free coating matters to you. It is the only pan on this list whose listing says so in its title.
Skip it if you want the Wilton the reviewers actually rated. That is the Perfect Results pan above.
Pros and cons
Pros
- PFAS-free claim in the title
- Clear overall dimensions
- Handles included
Cons
- Name reads like a standard pan
- Not the reviewed Wilton
- Warranty details unclear

6. Chicago Metallic 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan – Cup Size Stated, Heavy Steel

One of the few listings that gives a real cup measurement: 2 inches round by 0.75 inches deep. That shallow shape suits egg bites, canapés and little quiches as much as muffins, and Chicago Metallic sells it for all of those.
It is heavy-gauge carbon steel with a nonstick coating and is dishwasher safe. The listing also suggests freezing herbs, sauces or flavored butter in the cups, a handy use for a small pan. Note that a shallow cup holds less batter, so a mini recipe may give a few more pieces than it says, and the review we read found narrower cups made better-domed muffins.
Why we like it
- Cup size stated: 2 by 0.75 inches
- Heavy-gauge carbon steel
- Sold for sweet and savory bites
- Dishwasher safe
Key specifications
| Model | 5241786 |
|---|---|
| Cups | 24 |
| Material | Heavy-gauge carbon steel |
| Coating | Nonstick |
| Cup size | 2 inches round, 0.75 inches deep |
| Oven limit | Not stated |
| Care | Dishwasher safe |
| Warranty | Not stated |
Why we recommend it
Choose it if you make more savory bites than muffins, or if you like to freeze small portions in a tin.
Skip it if you want tall, domed muffins. Wider, shallow cups give a squatter shape, which is what the reviewers saw with wide cups.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Clear cup measurements
- Good for egg bites
- Dishwasher safe
Cons
- Shallow cups
- No oven limit stated
- No independent test found
7. GoodCook 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan – A Basic Pan for Occasional Use

The entry-level pan on this list, and a fair one to buy if you bake minis a few times a year. It is steel with a scratch-resistant nonstick coating and 1-7/8-inch cups, and GoodCook says it releases with or without liners.
What you give up against the premium pans is detail and heft: no stated oven limit, no thick steel claim beyond “professional gauge”, and no extended handles mentioned. It is dishwasher safe and carries what the listing calls a limited lifetime warranty, which is the main thing to look for at this level.
America’s Test Kitchen recommended a different GoodCook mini pan, the textured Sweet Creations model, so do not read that verdict across to this one.
Why we like it
- 1-7/8-inch cups
- Scratch-resistant nonstick coating
- Dishwasher safe
- Limited lifetime warranty, per the listing
Key specifications
| Model | 04029 |
|---|---|
| Cups | 24 |
| Material | Steel |
| Coating | Scratch-resistant nonstick |
| Cup size | 1-7/8 inches across |
| Oven limit | Not stated |
| Care | Dishwasher safe |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime |
Why we recommend it
Choose it for a holiday batch or a first pan. It covers what a mini pan needs to do, and the warranty is plainly stated.
Skip it if you bake weekly. Pay more for a thicker pan with real handles. The offer we saw also came from a third-party seller.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Plain and simple
- Lifetime warranty
- Dishwasher safe
Cons
- No handles mentioned
- No oven limit stated
- Third-party seller when checked
8. Wilton Perfect Results 48-Cup Mega Mini Muffin Pan – Four Dozen in One Pan

For bake sales and party trays, this one pan holds four dozen. Wilton says it uses one box of cake mix, and the cavities are 1.87 inches across and 0.88 inches deep.
It measures 21.5 by 15.5 by 0.9 inches and Wilton says it fits standard-size ovens, but measure yours first and make sure nothing else needs that rack. A pan this wide is also heavy when full, so plan a clear path from counter to oven.
It is steel with a reinforced nonstick coating. The listing says it is dishwasher safe but suggests warm, soapy water for best results, and it shows a limited 10-year warranty. The review we read covered 24-cup pans, not this one.
Why we like it
- 48 cups in one pan
- Cavity size stated: 1.87 by 0.88 inches
- Uses one box of cake mix, per Wilton
- Limited 10-year warranty
Key specifications
| Model | 2105-6746 |
|---|---|
| Cups | 48 |
| Material | Steel |
| Coating | Reinforced nonstick |
| Cup size | 1.87 inches across, 0.88 inches deep |
| Oven limit | Not stated |
| Care | Dishwasher safe; hand washing suggested |
| Warranty | Limited 10-year |
Why we recommend it
Choose it if you bake for a crowd and would rather run one big pan than two small ones. It is a home-oven pan, but only just.
Skip it if your oven is narrow or you store pans in a small cupboard. Two 24-cup pans are easier to live with. It came from a third-party seller when we looked.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Saves oven space compared with two pans
- Clear measurements
- Long warranty
Cons
- Very wide to carry and store
- Check your oven first
- Third-party seller when checked
How to choose a mini muffin pan
America’s Test Kitchen’s mini muffin tin review is the most useful outside guide we found, and its findings shape this list.
1. Material
The reviewers found that steel performed best, while aluminum and silicone browned food unevenly. They did not recommend the silicone pan they tried, saying it did not disperse heat evenly and felt unsteady. If you do want silicone, see our guide to the best silicone muffin pan, but expect to set it on a sheet pan.
2. Rim and handles
This matters more on a mini pan than on a standard one. The reviewers liked at least an inch of space to grip, because a thin rim puts mitts in the batter. Look for wide rims or extended handles.

3. Cup shape
The same review found narrower cups gave classic domed muffins, while wider cups gave squat ones. Shallow, wide cups are still useful for egg bites and small quiches.
4. Coating and color
All the metal pans in that review had nonstick coatings, and all released easily, so a coating is a fair default. Lighter finishes also help prevent overbrowning, as All-Clad says of its pan, which matters when a batch bakes in minutes.
5. Cups and oven space
Most pans hold 24 cups. A 48-cup pan saves a rack but needs a large oven and a clear path. Two 24-cup pans are the flexible choice.
How we picked these eight pans
We looked for mini pans from named makers, sold new and in stock on Amazon in the United States, and read each listing for cups, material, coating and care. We have not baked in these pans; where we describe how a pan behaves, we say whose findings those are. The review’s winner, from Williams Sonoma, did not come up in our Amazon searches. USA Pan’s 24-cup model was recommended there but was down to its last units when we checked, and Nordic Ware’s petite pan, which the reviewers did not recommend, was not in stock. We left out silicone pans for the reason above and anonymous import brands.

Mini muffin pan questions, answered
What size is a mini muffin cup?
Among the pans here, the stated cups run from about 1.87 to 2 inches across. Check the depth too, because it changes how much batter each cup holds.
Do I need liners in a mini muffin pan?
Not with a good coating. GoodCook says its pan releases with or without liners, and liners make cleanup easier for sticky batters. Buy liners labeled mini, since standard ones will not fit.
How long do mini muffins bake?
Far less time than standard ones, so follow your recipe and check early. Start looking well before a standard-muffin time would be up.
What else can I bake in a 24 cup mini muffin tin?
Makers name mini cupcakes, mini quiches, egg bites and canapés. Chicago Metallic also suggests freezing herbs, sauces and flavored butter in the cups. If egg bites are your main use, see the best egg muffin pan.
Can mini muffin pans go in the dishwasher?
Several are listed as dishwasher safe, but Wilton and All-Clad suggest hand washing to protect the coating. We would follow that.
Our last word on mini muffin pans
Buy the Wilton Perfect Results 24-cup pan if you want the evidence-backed choice, or the Rachael Ray if secure handling matters most. Go to the All-Clad for a heavier everyday pan, and the Wilton 48-cup only if your oven can take it.
For full-size muffins, see our muffin tin reviews, the lead guide in this group.
And if you would rather someone else did the cooking tonight, see the menu or call to order.
