One sheet pan is never enough. Roast a tray of tomatillos and serranos for salsa verde, and the poblanos for rajas need a second pan. Make sheet-pan fajitas for six, and the peppers and the chicken want their own trays so neither steams. A set of two or three pans in matching or stepped sizes is how most kitchens solve that.
This guide covers sets only: two half sheets, a half with a quarter, or a three-size trio. Our main baking sheets guide reviews single pans and the Nordic Ware and Vollrath two-packs, so here we look at other combinations and other makers.

Quick verdict: which baking sheet set to buy
For most kitchens, the best baking sheet set is the Nordic Ware Naturals 3-Piece Baker’s Delight Set: a half sheet, a jelly roll pan and a quarter sheet in bare aluminum with steel-reinforced rims, made in the U.S. by the company whose half sheet America’s Test Kitchen names its favorite. If you cook sheet-pan dinners for a family, the Nordic Ware two-half-sheet set with an eighth sheet gives you two full-size pans. If you want nonstick, the USA Pan Half Sheet Set of 2 has a silicone coating rated to 450°F.

Our picks for the best baking sheet set
These nine sets cover the common ways people buy sheet pans: bare aluminum for browning, aluminized steel with a nonstick finish, carbon steel nonstick with grips, and a ceramic-coated trio. Some are matched pairs, some are stepped sizes. Each pick says which pans you get, the oven limit the maker states, and one honest reason to skip it.

1. Nordic Ware Naturals 3-Piece Baker’s Delight Set – Three Sizes in Bare Aluminum

This is the set to buy if you want one pan for every job. You get a half sheet for a full tray of roasted vegetables or a batch of cookies, a jelly roll pan for a mid-size job, and a quarter sheet for toasting a handful of chiles de árbol or roasting two heads of garlic.
Nordic Ware describes the pans as pure aluminum for even browning, with encapsulated galvanized steel rims that resist warping, and says they will never rust. They are made in America of domestic and imported materials and carry a lifetime warranty, per the listing. The listing for this set does not state the jelly roll pan’s size; Nordic Ware’s half sheet is 17.9 x 12.9 inches outside on its other listings.
America’s Test Kitchen’s current rimmed baking sheet review names the Nordic Ware Baker’s Half Sheet its favorite and recommends the quarter and eighth sizes for smaller jobs. It also notes that aluminum is prone to warping, though most warping reverses as the pan cools, and that acidic foods cooked on bare aluminum can pick up metal. For roasted tomatoes and tomatillos, line the pan with parchment or a silicone baking mat.
Why we like it
- Three useful sizes in one box.
- Steel-reinforced rims resist warping, per Nordic Ware.
- Made in America of domestic and imported materials.
- ATK names Nordic Ware’s half sheet its favorite.
- Lifetime warranty, per the listing.

| Material | Aluminum, galvanized steel rims |
| Finish | Uncoated |
| Oven limit | Not stated |
| Dishwasher safe | Not stated |
| Made in | USA, domestic and imported materials |
Why we recommend it
It suits a cook who roasts and bakes often and wants a big pan, a middle pan and a small pan that all brown the same way.
Skip it if you want a nonstick surface; bare aluminum needs parchment for sticky or acidic foods.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Three sizes cover most jobs
- Aluminum browns evenly, per Nordic Ware
- Will not rust, per the maker
Cons
- Aluminum darkens and can warp in high heat, per ATK
- Not for acidic foods without a liner
- Jelly roll size not stated
2. Nordic Ware Naturals 2 Half Sheets and Eighth Sheet – Two Full Pans for Fajita Night

Sheet-pan fajitas go wrong when everything is crowded onto one tray: the peppers and onions steam instead of charring. Two half sheets fix that, one for the sliced chicken or steak, one for the vegetables, rotated between racks halfway through. This set adds a small eighth sheet for toasting tortillas, nuts or a few dried chiles.
Our main baking sheets guide reviews Nordic Ware’s plain half-sheet two-pack. This set is different in one useful way: the eighth sheet, which Nordic Ware sizes at 10.7 x 7 inches outside with a 9.4 x 6.3-inch interior. The half sheets are 17.9 x 12.9 x 1 inches outside and 17.1 x 12.1 inches inside, with reinforced encapsulated steel rims. Nordic Ware recommends hand washing and says the pans work with parchment or silicone mats.
The same aluminum caveats apply as for the 3-piece set: ATK notes warping in high heat that usually relaxes as the pan cools, and advises against acidic foods on bare aluminum. Line the pan for tomatoes and tomatillos.
Why we like it
- Two full-size half sheets for big sheet-pan meals.
- A small eighth sheet for toasting.
- Reinforced steel rims, per Nordic Ware.
- Exact inside and outside sizes listed.

Why we recommend it
It suits families who cook one-pan dinners and need two big trays in the oven at once, plus a small one for side jobs.
Skip it if your oven is small; two half sheets need two racks wide enough for 18-inch pans.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Two big pans for double batches
- Handy eighth sheet
- Made in the USA, per the listing
Cons
- No quarter sheet
- Hand wash recommended
- Bare aluminum needs a liner for acidic foods
3. USA Pan Half Sheet Pan, Set of 2 – Nonstick Pans with a Ridged Surface

USA Pan makes heavy-gauge aluminized steel pans with a corrugated surface and its own silicone nonstick coating, which it calls Americoat. This pair gives you two matching half sheets, each 17.25 x 12.25 inches on the baking surface and 17.75 x 12.75 inches outside.
The ridges are there for strength and air flow, per USA Pan, and they help cookies and roasted potatoes release. The trade-off is that the coating sets the limits: USA Pan says not to exceed 450°F, including under the broiler, to wash the pans by hand, and to use only silicone, nylon or wooden utensils. USA Pan describes Americoat as free of PTFE, PFOA and BPA.
ATK’s rimmed baking sheet review found a USA Pan model browned chicken and baked cookies evenly, warped slightly and recovered after cooling, and was heavier than aluminum pans. It also advises keeping nonstick coatings below 450°F and out from under the broiler. Our main guide reviews USA Pan’s bare, uncoated half sheet; this is the coated pair.
Why we like it
- Two matching half sheets.
- Silicone nonstick coating, per USA Pan.
- Ridged surface for strength and air flow.
- Limited lifetime warranty, per the listing.
Key specifications
| Model | 1300ST |

| Dishwasher safe | No, hand wash per USA Pan |
| Made in | Not stated on listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits bakers and cooks who want easy release for cookies, bacon and roast potatoes without reaching for parchment every time.
Skip it if you broil often or roast above 450°F; the coating rules that out.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Easy release
- A USA Pan model warped only slightly in ATK’s review
- Two identical pans
Cons
- 450°F limit, no broiler
- Hand wash only
- Heavier than aluminum
4. USA Pan 3-Piece Bakeware Set – Half, Quarter and a Cookie Sheet

This USA Pan set mixes shapes rather than doubling up: a 17.25 x 12.25-inch half sheet pan, a 12.5 x 9-inch quarter sheet and a 17 x 12.25-inch cookie sheet. A cookie sheet has a flat edge on at least one side, which makes it easier to slide off cookies, polvorones or a sheet of empanadas than a rimmed pan.
All three pans have the same Americoat silicone nonstick finish and ridged aluminized steel as the pair above, so the same rules apply: USA Pan says not to exceed 450°F, wash by hand, and use silicone, nylon or wooden utensils. The listing carries a limited lifetime warranty.
A cookie sheet is not a roasting pan. Juices from chicken or vegetables run off the open side, so keep the half sheet for anything wet.
Why we like it
- A half sheet, a quarter sheet and a cookie sheet.
- Sizes listed for all three pans.
- Silicone nonstick coating, per USA Pan.
- Limited lifetime warranty.
Key specifications
| Model | 1310ST |
|---|---|
| Pieces | 3 |
| Sizes | 17.25 x 12.25 in half sheet, 12.5 x 9 in quarter sheet, 17 x 12.25 in cookie sheet |

| Finish | Americoat silicone nonstick |
| Oven limit | 450°F, per USA Pan |
| Dishwasher safe | No, hand wash per USA Pan |
| Made in | Not stated on listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a baker who makes cookies and pan dulce as often as sheet-pan dinners and wants a dedicated cookie sheet.
Skip it if you mostly roast; you get only one rimmed half sheet.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Three shapes for different jobs
- Easy release
- Warranty, per the listing
Cons
- 450°F limit and no broiler
- Cookie sheet is no good for juicy roasts
- Hand wash only
5. Chicago Metallic Jelly Roll Pan Set of 2 – Wire-Rod Rims, Rated to 450°F

Chicago Metallic’s pair is two identical jelly roll pans in heavy-weight aluminized steel, each 16.75 x 12 x 1 inches inside. That is close to a half sheet, so they suit the same jobs.
The listing describes wire-rod reinforced rims to resist warping, even heat across the surface and an oven rating of 450°F, and says the pans are meant for baking, roasting and broiling. It carries a lifetime warranty. The listing does not mention a nonstick coating, so plan on parchment for sticky foods.
Two matched pans make batch work easy: two trays of roasted calabacitas, or a sheet cake split into two layers. Pair them with a cooling rack that fits inside for oven-fried chicken or carnitas crisped on a rack.
Why we like it
- Two identical pans with listed inside dimensions.
- Wire-rod reinforced rims, per Chicago Metallic.
- Oven safe to 450°F, per the listing.
- Lifetime warranty.

It suits cooks who want two identical, sturdy pans for batch roasting and sheet cakes.
Skip it if you want a full 18 x 13-inch half sheet; these run slightly smaller.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Matched pair
- Reinforced rims
- Lifetime warranty
Cons
- Slightly smaller than a half sheet
- Cleaning guidance not stated

6. Calphalon Titan Cookie Sheet 2-Pack – Steel Core with a Nonstick Coat

Calphalon’s Titan pair is two 12 x 17-inch nonstick sheets built on a steel core with a rolled, reinforced rim that the listing says resists warping in repeated high-heat baking. The PFOA-free nonstick coating is there for clean release and quick cleanup.
The listing is clear on care: hand wash only. It does not state an oven limit, which is a real gap for a coated pan; check the packaging before roasting hot, and remember ATK’s advice to keep nonstick coatings below 450°F and away from the broiler. Use silicone or wooden tools to protect the coating.
Despite the “cookie sheet” name, the listing calls them sheet pans for sheet-pan meals too; check the rim height on the box if you plan to roast juicy food.
Why we like it
- Two matching 12 x 17-inch sheets.
- Steel core for even heat, per Calphalon.
- Rolled, reinforced rim resists warping.
- PFOA-free nonstick coating, per the listing.
Key specifications
| Model | 150418.02 |

Why we recommend it
It suits bakers who want two coated sheets from a familiar cookware maker for cookies and simple roasting.
Skip it if you need a stated oven limit before you buy; the listing does not give one.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Nonstick release
- Reinforced rim
- Matched pair
Cons
- Oven limit not stated
- Hand wash only
- Rim height not stated
7. Rachael Ray Nonstick Cookie Pan Set, 3-Piece – Wide Silicone Grips, Rated to 500°F

A hot sheet pan is awkward to grab with a bulky mitt. Rachael Ray’s set puts extra-wide silicone grips on the ends of each pan, which the listing says are oven safe to 500°F. That makes it easier to pull out a heavy tray of roasted chiles or pork without tipping the juices.
You get three sizes: 9 x 13, 10 x 15 and 11 x 17 inches. The pans are steel with an all-over nonstick coating, and the listing says the steel resists warping. Note the sizes are a little smaller than restaurant half and quarter sheets, so check that your racks and mats fit.
The listing gives the 500°F rating for the grips and pans together, but ATK advises keeping nonstick coatings below 450°F and out from under the broiler, so we would roast at 450°F or below. Keep a pair of good oven mitts nearby anyway.
Why we like it
- Extra-wide silicone grips on every pan.
- Three stepped sizes.
- Oven safe to 500°F, per the listing.
- Nonstick coating for easy release.
Key specifications
| Model | 47576 |
|---|---|
| Pieces | 3 |
| Sizes | 9 x 13, 10 x 15, 11 x 17 in |
| Material | Steel |
| Finish | Nonstick |
| Oven limit | 500°F, per listing |
| Dishwasher safe | Not stated |
| Made in | Not stated |
Why we recommend it
It suits cooks who find plain sheet pans hard to grip, or who want three sizes with a little color.
Skip it if you want pans that fit restaurant-size racks and mats; these sizes run smaller.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Easy to grip
- Three sizes
- Higher stated limit than the USA Pan and Chicago Metallic sets
Cons
- Smaller than standard sheet sizes
- Nonstick, so ATK’s 450°F advice applies
- Cleaning guidance not stated
8. Caraway Non-Stick Ceramic Baking Sheet Trio – Ceramic Coating, Rated to 550°F

Caraway’s trio is the statement set here: cream-colored pans with a ceramic nonstick coating, in 18 x 13, 15 x 10 and 9 x 13-inch sizes. The bodies are aluminized steel with reinforced rims, and the listing says the pans are oven safe to 550°F, the highest stated limit on this page.
Caraway describes the coating as free from PFAS, PFOA and Teflon and calls it non-toxic. Those are the maker’s claims, and we repeat them as such. Retailer listings for Caraway’s large and medium sheets say not to use them under the broiler or on the stovetop, and recommend hand washing with a soft cloth.
Rounded corners make cleanup easy, per Caraway. A retailer listing for Caraway’s small sheet adds a warning against metal utensils, which scratch the coating.
Why we like it
- Three sizes, from a near half sheet to 9 x 13 inches.
- Oven safe to 550°F, per the listing.
- Ceramic coating Caraway says is free of PFAS and PFOA.
- Rounded corners for easier cleaning.

- No broiler use for the large and medium sheets
- Coating claims are the maker’s own

9. GoodCook Everyday Nonstick Baking Sheet Set, 3-Pack – Simple Nonstick Starter Set

GoodCook’s set is the plain, practical choice for a first kitchen or a second set for the holidays. You get small, medium and large carbon steel sheets at 13 x 9, 15 x 10 and 17 x 11 inches, each with a scratch-resistant nonstick coating GoodCook describes as its own formula.
GoodCook says the heavy-gauge pans resist warping and scratching and spread heat evenly. They are dishwasher safe, though the listing recommends hand washing for longer life, and carry a limited lifetime warranty. The listing does not state an oven limit, so roast at moderate heat and keep them out from under the broiler, as ATK advises for nonstick.
These are lighter-duty pans than the Nordic Ware or USA Pan sets. For cookies, nachos and reheating, that is fine.
Why we like it
- Three sizes with listed dimensions.
- Scratch-resistant nonstick coating, per GoodCook.
- Dishwasher safe, per the listing.
- Limited lifetime warranty.

How to choose a baking sheet set
Matched or stepped sizes. Two half sheets are best for big sheet-pan meals and batch roasting. A half, quarter and eighth (or a jelly roll) cover more kinds of job and nest for storage. Measure your oven first: a true half sheet is about 18 x 13 inches outside.
Bare aluminum or coated. Bare aluminum browns well and can go under the broiler on Nordic Ware’s word for its Naturals line, but it darkens, can warp in high heat, and ATK advises against acidic foods on it. Nonstick sets release food easily but bring an oven limit, usually 450°F, and no broiler.
Rims and warping. Reinforced rims, whether encapsulated steel or wire rod, help a pan hold its shape. ATK found that most warping relaxes as a pan cools, and that pans are most likely to warp when preheated empty at high heat.
Care. Most coated pans here are hand wash only. If you need dishwasher-safe pans, check the listing; only GoodCook says so among these sets.
Accessories. A rack that fits inside the half sheet and a mat cut to size make a set far more useful. Our guides to cooling racks and silicone baking mats cover both.

A set of sheet pans in a Mexican kitchen
Sheet pans earn their keep in Mexican cooking when you roast in quantity. Spread tomatoes, tomatillos, onion and garlic on one half sheet under the broiler for salsa, and chiles on another; our guide to salsa roja and salsa verde explains why roasting changes the flavor. For acidic tomatoes and tomatillos on bare aluminum, use parchment, or broil on a pan whose maker allows it.
For sheet-pan fajitas, slice everything thin, spread it in a single layer across two pans, and roast hot so the edges char. Our guide on how to eat fajitas covers the tortillas and toppings. A quarter or eighth sheet is ideal for toasting dried chiles before you soak them; our guide to Mexican chiles explains which ones to toast.

How we chose these nine sets
We searched Amazon for sheet pan sets of two or three from Nordic Ware, USA Pan, Chicago Metallic, Wilton, Rachael Ray, Calphalon, Caraway, GoodCook, Made In and others, and kept only sets showing as in stock when we checked. Specifications come from the Amazon listings, with oven limits and care rules from USA Pan’s product pages and retailer listings where the Amazon listing left them out. We read America’s Test Kitchen’s rimmed baking sheet review and cite its findings by name. We did not read Serious Eats or Wirecutter for this guide, and we have not used these pans for it.
We left out the Nordic Ware half-sheet and quarter-sheet two-packs and the Vollrath pair because our main baking sheets guide reviews them. Made In sells its sheet pans singly, not as a set. We skipped several unbranded three-pan sets and the Wilton two-piece set, whose listing does not state the pan sizes.
Baking sheet set questions, answered
What sizes should a baking sheet set include?
For most kitchens, a half sheet and a quarter sheet cover nearly everything. Add a second half sheet if you cook sheet-pan dinners for four or more, and an eighth sheet for toasting.
Are aluminum or nonstick baking sheets better?
Bare aluminum browns well and has no coating to protect, but it warps more easily and reacts with acidic foods, per ATK. Nonstick releases easily but has a heat limit and no broiler use.
Can baking sheets go under the broiler?
Uncoated aluminum can, per Nordic Ware’s listing for its Naturals pans. USA Pan says its coated pans should not exceed 450°F, broiler included, and Caraway’s large and medium sheets are not for the broiler.
Why do baking sheets warp in the oven?
Uneven heating stresses the metal. ATK found most warping reverses as the pan’s temperature evens out, and that preheating an empty pan at high heat is the most likely cause.
Are PFAS-free baking sheets worth it?
Caraway and several other makers say their coatings are made without PFAS. We report those as maker claims. If you want no coating at all, bare aluminum sets avoid the question.
The set to start with
Buy the Nordic Ware Naturals 3-piece set for all-round roasting and baking, the two-half-sheet Nordic Ware set for family sheet-pan dinners, or the USA Pan pair if you want nonstick. For single pans, see our main baking sheets guide, and for a deeper pan for big roasts, our roasting pan guide.
If you would rather leave the roasting to our kitchen tonight, see the menu or call to order.
