Liners, Racks or Tongs? The Best Air Fryer Accessories by Basket Size

The best air fryer accessories for your basket: liners, racks, kits and tongs from named makers, with the stated fit and heat limit for each.

An air fryer basket looks simple, but it decides what you can buy for it. Most accessory trouble comes down to a square rack in a round basket, a liner that is an inch too wide, or a kit that blocks the airflow you paid for. The size printed on a package does not always help, since quart ratings and basket shapes vary.

So we sort these by stated fit. Every pick says what size or model it is for, and we tell you when a listing is vague. Keep a tape measure close, and measure the inside bottom of your basket before you read further.

Quick verdict: which air fryer accessory to buy first

For large square baskets, the Gourmia Silicone Air Fryer Liner Set is the most useful first buy. If your basket is small and you want no scrubbing, try the Cosori Parchment Air Fryer Liners. To fit more food in a mid-size basket, go with the HONYAO Square Stainless Air Fryer Racks.

Still shopping for the machine itself? Our best air fryer guide comes first, because the basket you choose decides everything below.

Our picks for the best air fryer accessories

We start with the accessories most people will use each week, then move on to narrower items for particular machines. Each section says what the accessory fits and when to pass on it.

1. Gourmia Silicone Air Fryer Liner Set – A Liner Plus Two Baking Molds

Best overallGourmia Silicone Air Fryer Liners - 3 Piece Set with Egg Bite & Muffin Mold

If you buy one accessory, make it a reusable liner, because it saves the scrubbing that wears people down on a coated basket. This Gourmia set adds more than the usual single liner. You get a square liner with raised ridges on the bottom, a three-cavity egg bite mold and a seven-cavity muffin pan.

Gourmia designed it for its own square-basket 7- and 8-quart air fryers and similarly sized models. The liner measures about 8.5 by 8.5 by 3 inches, and the molds are both about 8.5 inches wide. Measure your basket before you order, since those numbers will not suit a small round basket.

The raised ridges lift food so grease can collect below, which matters for wings and bacon. All three pieces are BPA-free silicone, rated to 450°F and dishwasher safe, per the listing. Silicone can slow browning where it covers the basket, so for the crispiest fries you may still want to cook straight on the crisper plate.

Why we like it

  • Three pieces instead of one liner
  • Raised ridges lift food off the grease
  • Heat rating and sizes stated
  • Dishwasher safe

Key specifications

Model GSI005
Type Silicone liner and molds
Stated fit Gourmia 7 and 8 quart square baskets; similar sizes
Size About 8.5 x 8.5 x 3 inches
Material BPA-free silicone
Heat rating 450°F
Cleaning Dishwasher safe

Why we recommend it

This suits owners of large square air fryers who want cleaner cooking and a way to make egg bites and small bakes. It is the most useful single purchase on the page for that group.

Skip it if your basket is under about 7 quarts or round. The pieces are sized for larger square baskets.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Covers several kinds of cooking
  • Easy to clean
  • From an air fryer maker

Cons

  • Too big for small baskets
  • Silicone can reduce airflow
  • Three pieces to store

2. Cosori Parchment Air Fryer Liners, 100 Count – Throw Away the Mess

Best disposable linerCosori Air Fryer Liners

Parchment liners suit sticky glazes, breaded food and anything you would rather not scrub off afterward. These come from Cosori, a major air fryer brand, in a 100-count pack. Each is a 6.5-inch square with a 1.8-inch raised edge designed to keep juices off the basket.

The title says these fit 3- to 5-quart air fryers, while the listing’s size field reads differently, so measure the bottom of your basket and go by that figure. They are made of wax-free, bleach-free parchment with a food-grade silicone coating, and rated to 465°F. Cosori says they can also be used in microwaves and ovens.

Cosori puts a safety warning first, and it matters. Do not put a liner in the basket during preheating, and always have enough food on it to hold it down, or it can fly up to the heating element. Yahoo Shopping’s Kristin Granero also warns that liners may block the ventilation holes, so shake or turn your food often.

Why we like it

  • Maker states a raised 1.8-inch edge
  • 100 liners in a pack
  • Heat rating stated
  • Clear safety warning from the maker

Key specifications

Model CLR-R601-NUS
Type Disposable parchment liners
Stated fit 3 to 5 quart, per title; measure your basket
Size 6.5-inch square, 1.8-inch edge
Material Parchment with silicone coating
Heat rating 465°F
Cleaning Disposable

Why we recommend it

Pick these if you mainly want an easy cleanup after sticky or saucy food. A small basket and a sweet chile glaze are a good match for them.

Skip these if you want fries with maximum crunch or prefer not to buy disposables. A rack or a bare crisper plate lets air reach the underside.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • No scrubbing
  • Protects the basket
  • Well-known maker

Cons

  • Must never go in empty
  • Ongoing purchase
  • Can restrict airflow

3. HONYAO Square Stainless Air Fryer Racks, 2-Piece – Stack for a Second Layer

Best rackHONYAO Air Fryer Rack Square 8'' Accessories

A rack answers the basic air fryer problem: there is never enough room in one layer. Each of these two square racks measures about 8.02 by 8.02 inches, in heights of 2.13 and 3.93 inches. You can use one by itself, stack both or overlap them, and that gives you a second layer of taquitos or wings.

The listing says they fit 8-inch or larger baskets, and it names 5- to 7.5-quart models from Ninja, Cosori, Chefman, Gourmia, NutriChef and Instant Pot. Before you rely on that, measure the inside of your basket and allow for the height of the upper rack. Food needs room below the heating element.

These are made from food-grade 304 stainless wire, rated to 600°F and listed as dishwasher safe, with a two-year warranty. HONYAO is an Amazon-first brand, and this rests on its listing. Yahoo Shopping’s roundup makes a general case for stacked racks: they add capacity and let air move around food. That recommendation is for a different brand.

Why we like it

  • Two heights that stack or overlap
  • Fit stated by inches and quarts
  • All stainless wire, per the listing
  • Dishwasher safe

Key specifications

Model ZSY375
Type Stackable racks
Stated fit 5 to 7.5 quart; 8-inch or larger baskets
Size 8.02 x 8.02 inches; 2.13 and 3.93 inches high
Material 304 stainless steel wire
Heat rating 600°F
Cleaning Dishwasher safe

Why we recommend it

This suits anyone who regularly cooks for more than two people in a mid-size square basket. Bare wire also keeps air moving, which a solid liner does not.

Skip it if your basket is round or under 8 inches across. The racks are square and sized for wider baskets.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • More capacity from the same basket
  • Good airflow
  • High stated heat rating

Cons

  • Lesser-known brand
  • Food can stick to bare wire
  • Check headroom below the heater

4. Apluskis Square Air Fryer Accessory Kit, 18 Pieces – A Whole Kit in One Box

Best starter kitSquare Air Fryer Accessories

If you just got your first air fryer and want to try everything, a kit is the fast way in. This one has an 8-inch square cake barrel, pizza pan, metal holder and skewer rack, along with a toast rack, 7-inch silicone mat, silicone egg bite mold, six silicone muffin cups, plate gripper, tongs, oil brush, recipe book and 100 parchment liners.

The listing says it fits square air fryers from 3.6 to 6.8 quarts and names Cosori, Chefman, Ninja, Gowise, Gourmia and Philips among others. Take that wide range with some care. An 8-inch accessory will not sit in every 3.6-quart basket, so measure before you buy.

The listing describes the metal parts as 304 stainless steel and the silicone as BPA free, and calls all the accessories dishwasher safe. It warns against sharp tools on the nonstick coating. Apluskis is an Amazon-first brand, and this rests on the listing alone. Expect to use some of the pieces far more than others.

Why we like it

  • Covers baking, skewers, racks and liners
  • Fit stated by quart range and shape
  • Includes parchment and a plate gripper
  • Dishwasher safe, per the listing

Key specifications

Model Not stated
Type 18-piece kit
Stated fit 3.6 to 6.8 quart square
Size 8-inch main pieces
Material Stainless steel, silicone, nonstick pans
Heat rating Not stated
Cleaning Dishwasher safe

Why we recommend it

This suits new owners who want to explore what the machine can do before choosing favorites. The accessory kit route also makes sense as a gift, as long as you know the basket size.

Skip it if you already know the one or two jobs you want. Buying only those pieces avoids a drawer of parts you never use.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Lots of variety
  • One purchase
  • Includes things a beginner would miss

Cons

  • Many pieces to store
  • Amazon-first brand
  • Heat rating not stated

5. KitchenAid Silicone-Tipped Tongs, 9 Inch – Gentle on a Coated Basket

Best tongsKitchenAid Silicone Tipped Stainless Steel Tongs

You need something to turn food in a hot basket, and metal-tipped tools can scratch a coating. These are 9-inch stainless steel tongs with silicone tips, a practical size for reaching into a basket without getting your knuckles near the heat. KitchenAid says they are heat resistant and safe for all cookware, including nonstick.

They lock closed with a pull of the top ring, so they store flat in a drawer, and they are dishwasher safe. The stainless steel is described as rust resistant. KitchenAid gives no temperature figure for the tips, so we mark the heat rating as not stated.

They are not sold as an air fryer tool, but this is a job tongs do well. Yahoo Shopping’s roundup makes the same point about a different pair of tongs, arguing a fork is not enough for flipping. If you want to compare other options, our kitchen tongs guide goes much deeper. They also work at the stove and at the table.

Why we like it

  • Silicone tips suit coated baskets
  • Compact 9-inch length
  • Locks closed for storage
  • Dishwasher safe

Key specifications

Model KO093OHOBA
Type Silicone-tipped tongs
Stated fit Any basket
Size 9 inches
Material Stainless steel, silicone tips
Heat rating Heat resistant; no figure stated
Cleaning Dishwasher safe

Why we recommend it

Almost anyone with a coated basket can use a pair of these. They are the one item here that does not depend on the size of your air fryer, and they work across the kitchen too.

Skip them if you already own silicone or nylon tongs. Any pair of soft-tipped tongs that fits your basket will do the job.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Works with any air fryer
  • Useful beyond the air fryer
  • Well-known maker

Cons

  • Not made just for air fryers
  • No stated temperature limit
  • Short for deep pots

6. Dash Compact Air Fryer Accessory Kit – Built for the Smallest Baskets

Best for compact fryersDash Compact Air Fryer Accessories - Multi-Purpose PTFE Nonstick Accessories Kit - Easy-to-Clean & Space-Saving Design - Includes Pizza Pan

Most accessories are sized for mid-size baskets, which leaves owners of very small air fryers out. Dash solves this for its own machines. The kit is made for Dash Compact air fryers and includes a deep baking pan, a pizza pan, a double-layer cooking rack and three skewers.

The company describes it as a set for one or two people, and the small pans suit that well. You could do a small quiche, a single tortilla pizza or a few short skewers of chicken and peppers. The PTFE nonstick finish is meant to make cleanup easy, and the pieces are designed to store in a small space.

The listing does not give pan dimensions or a heat rating, so we mark those as not stated. Do not assume this will fit other brands. Dash names only its Compact air fryers, and if you own a different small model, compare the basket’s measurements with a call or a message to the seller first.

Why we like it

  • Made by the air fryer’s maker
  • Pizza pan, baking pan, rack and skewers
  • Sized for one or two people
  • PTFE nonstick finish

Key specifications

Model DCAF150UP1
Type 4-part accessory kit
Stated fit Dash Compact air fryers
Size Compact; dimensions not stated
Material PTFE nonstick and metal
Heat rating Not stated
Cleaning Not stated

Why we recommend it

This suits people with a Dash Compact who want to do more than fries. Few makers offer a matched kit at this size, which makes the choice simple.

Skip it if you own another brand or want to avoid PTFE coatings. A stainless rack or a silicone liner would be a better match.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Matched to one machine
  • Good range for its size
  • Stores small

Cons

  • Fits one product line
  • PTFE coating needs care
  • Few details in the listing

7. Cosori Crisper Tray for TurboBlaze DC601 – The Maker’s Replacement Part

Best replacement partCosori Crisper Tray for TurboBlaze DC601 Air Fryer

Sometimes the accessory you need is the one that came with the machine. Crisper plates wear out and get lost, and a genuine replacement is often the simplest fix. This one is Cosori’s own tray for its TurboBlaze DC601, which we also mention in our air fryer versus toaster oven comparison.

Cosori lists it as a ceramic-coated plate, 8.9 inches, that is dishwasher safe. It is designed to help air circulate under food, and the listing also mentions baking, roasting and grilling in the same machine. No heat rating is listed, which is less of an issue for a part made for one specific air fryer.

This is the narrowest fit on the page, and we mean that as both a strength and a warning. If you own a DC601, there is no guessing. If you own anything else, including other Cosori models, do not buy this one. Look for the replacement part sold for your exact model number.

Why we like it

  • Genuine part from the maker
  • Exact model stated
  • Ceramic coating
  • Dishwasher safe

Key specifications

Model CRP-DC601RC-KUS
Type Replacement crisper tray
Stated fit Cosori TurboBlaze DC601 only
Size 8.9 inches
Material Ceramic-coated
Heat rating Not stated
Cleaning Dishwasher safe

Why we recommend it

This is for DC601 owners whose plate has worn out, or who want a spare for back-to-back batches. A proper replacement also keeps the original airflow design.

Skip it if you own any other model. Fit is the whole point of a replacement part.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • No fit guesswork for DC601 owners
  • Keeps the machine as designed
  • Easy to clean

Cons

  • One model only
  • Does not add new abilities
  • Coating still needs gentle tools

How to choose an air fryer accessory kit or single piece

You do not need much. A liner or a rack and a pair of soft-tipped tongs handle most of the cooking. These are the things we would check first.

Measure the basket, not the box

Measure the inside bottom of your basket in inches, and note whether it is square or round. Quart ratings are a rough guide at best. Two 6-quart machines can have quite different footprints, and a liner with a stated size in inches is far easier to judge than one sold by quarts alone.

Protect the airflow

An air fryer cooks by moving hot air around food, and anything that covers the basket gets in the way. Yahoo Shopping’s Kristin Granero warns that liners may block the ventilation holes at the bottom of the tray and advises tossing food often. A silicone liner with raised ridges, or a wire rack, leaves more room for air than a flat sheet.

Follow the maker’s rules for paper

Light liners can lift in moving air. Cosori warns against putting a paper liner in during preheating and says there should always be enough food to hold it down. Follow that advice, and check your own manual, as it has the last word for your machine. Regular parchment paper is useful for the oven, but check its heat rating and cut it well clear of the heater before you try it in an air fryer.

Choose a material for the job

Silicone is reusable and easy to clean, but it blocks more air. Parchment is the least work and creates ongoing waste. Stainless wire gives the most airflow, but food can stick to it. Coated pans release food easily, and they need soft tools. For a mix of jobs, you may end up with two of these.

Mind the headroom

Racks raise food closer to the heating element. Before you stack a second layer, check that the top layer of food will sit well below the element. Your manual may give a fill limit, and it is a good idea to follow it.

Buy a replacement before a gadget

If your crisper plate is scratched or lost, buy the maker’s part first. If you are after oven crisping instead, our air fryer pan for the oven guide covers trays for a full-size oven.

How we picked these seven air fryer accessories

We have not used these products ourselves. We read each Amazon listing and confirmed it was in stock with a new lead offer when we wrote this, and we set aside anything shown as low stock. We looked first for accessories from air fryer and kitchenware makers and limited Amazon-first brands to two, labeled in their sections. Named-maker racks and silicone baskets proved hard to find, which is why those two brands are here. We also read Yahoo Shopping’s roundup by Kristin Granero for general advice, though it does not review these exact products, and Consumer Reports’ article was behind a membership wall, so we did not use it.

We checked the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall database under each brand. It lists a 2023 recall of about two million Cosori air fryers, recall 23-130. That notice concerns the air fryers, not the accessories here. If you own an older Cosori, check your model against the notice on cpsc.gov. We found no recall naming any accessory on this page.

Air fryer accessory questions, answered

Do air fryer accessories fit any model?

No. Size and shape both matter. Measure the inside bottom of your basket, then compare it with the inches stated on the listing. Kits that claim to fit many brands still depend on your basket’s size.

Are silicone liners better than parchment?

They are different. Silicone is reusable, and the Gourmia set adds molds. Parchment goes in the trash with the mess. Both limit air to the underside of the food compared with a bare plate.

Is an air fryer accessory kit worth it?

It can be for a new owner who wants to try several things. Once you know what you cook, a single liner or rack may serve you better. Kits tend to include pieces that stay in the drawer.

What tools are safe on a nonstick basket?

Soft-tipped tools. KitchenAid describes the silicone-tipped tongs on this page as safe for all cookware, including nonstick. Avoid sharp metal, which Apluskis also warns against for its coated pieces.

Can these go in the dishwasher?

Most of the reusable picks can, according to their listings, but the Dash listing does not say. Check your air fryer’s own manual for the basket and plate, too.
