In a lot of Mexican homes the kettle goes on for tea as often as for coffee: té de canela on a cold morning, manzanilla after dinner, hierbabuena or té de limón from the garden, or a deep red pot of jamaica. Most of those are loose leaves, flowers or sticks rather than tea bags, and steeping them in a pot and then straining it is one more thing to wash. An electric kettle with an infuser basket does the steeping in the kettle itself: heat the water, drop the basket in, lift it out when the tea is ready.
This guide is narrower than our main electric kettle guide. It covers only kettles and tea makers that come with an infuser, and nearly all of them let you pick a temperature below boiling for green and white teas. None of the kettles from the main guide is repeated here, and we say where each figure comes from.

Quick verdict: which electric kettle with a tea infuser to buy
For most tea drinkers, the best electric kettle tea infuser is the Breville Tea Maker BTM800XL: its basket lowers into the water by itself and lifts back out when the steep is done, so the tea never stews. If you want no plastic touching the water, the Cosori 1.7L Kettle with Tea Infuser is built from glass and stainless steel inside. For app control and exact temperatures, the GoveeLife Smart Kettle; for one or two cups, the Breville Tea Maker Compact; and for the biggest pot, the Ovente 1.8L Glass Kettle.
The table compares those five. All seven kettles are reviewed in full below it.

Our picks for the best electric kettle tea infuser
Seven kettles from Breville, Cosori, GoveeLife, Ovente, Buydeem and Aigostar. Two are dedicated tea makers that manage the steep for you; the rest are temperature-control kettles with a removable infuser basket that you lift out yourself. We stopped at seven rather than pad the list with near-identical glass kettles from brands we could not identify.
1. Breville Tea Maker – The Basket Lowers and Lifts Itself

The Breville Tea Maker is the one kettle here that handles the whole steep. You fill the basket with leaves and the glass jug with water, choose the tea, and press a button. Breville says the basket then lowers into the water once it reaches the right temperature, gently agitates the leaves, and lifts back out automatically when the time is up. That last part is what matters: green tea left in too long turns bitter, and with this machine nobody has to stand there and remember.
There are five one-touch programs, for green, white, oolong, herbal and black tea, and you can choose a mild, medium or strong brew. Breville does not publish the preset temperatures in degrees on its product page. A timer lets you set the tea to be ready when you wake up, and it keeps the tea warm for up to 60 minutes.
The jug holds 51 ounces and is German-made glass on a brushed stainless steel base, according to Breville, and it doubles as a plain kettle for boiling water. It draws 1,500 watts and carries a one-year limited warranty. It is a large, tall machine for a kettle (Breville gives 8.6 by 8.4 by 10.1 inches), and the moving basket has more parts to clean than a simple infuser.
Why we like it
- Basket lowers in and lifts out automatically, per Breville
- Five tea programs with mild, medium or strong strength
- Timer to have tea ready in the morning
- Keeps tea warm for up to 60 minutes
Key specifications
| Model | BTM800XL |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 51 oz |
| Temperature settings | Five tea presets (degrees not stated) |
| Infuser | Automatic lowering and lifting basket |
| Keep warm | Up to 60 minutes |
| Materials | German-made glass jug, stainless steel base |
| Power | 1,500 W |
| Warranty | One-year limited |
Why we recommend it
It suits the person who drinks loose tea every day, especially green and white teas that are easy to over-steep, and who wants the machine to take care of timing as well as temperature.
Skip it if you mostly use tea bags or herbal sticks and flowers that do not mind a long steep; a simpler kettle with a basket does the job with less to clean.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Only fully automatic steep here
- Strength and timer settings
- Keep-warm hour
Cons
- Large on the counter
- Preset temperatures not published
- One-year warranty
2. Cosori 1.7L Kettle with Tea Infuser – Glass and Steel Wherever Water Touches

Many people choose a glass kettle to avoid plastic and then find the lid, spout or filter is plastic anyway. Cosori’s listing for this kettle says that all the water-contact materials are plastic-free: a glass body with a 304 stainless steel inner lid, rim and infuser. If that is the reason you are shopping, this is the most direct answer here.
It has six presets from 165°F to boiling, run by Strix temperature controls, covering green, white, oolong, black and herbal teas and coffee. Once it reaches temperature it can hold it for 60 minutes without boiling again, and Cosori says holding the Start/Cancel button for three seconds extends that. The infuser lifts out in one piece, so you can stop the steep without pouring, and a button opens the infuser lid so you can add more leaves without reaching in.
The wide mouth and removable rim make it easier to clean than narrow-necked kettles. Cosori says two cups of water boil in as little as three minutes. This is a new listing (Amazon dates it to mid-October 2026), so there is little buyer history yet; the listing does not give a warranty or wattage.
Why we like it
- No plastic in contact with water, per Cosori
- Six presets from 165°F to boiling
- Lift-out stainless infuser with a push-button lid
- 60-minute keep-warm, extendable
Key specifications
| Model | CGK-G119TI-KUS |

| Keep warm | 60 minutes, extendable |
| Materials | Glass body, 304 stainless lid, rim and infuser |
| Power | Not stated in the listing |
| Warranty | Not stated in the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits anyone who wants to see the tea brewing and does not want plastic in the water path, with a sensible range of temperatures for most teas.
Skip it if you would rather buy a model with a longer track record; this one has only just been listed.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Plastic-free water path
- Six presets
- Easy-clean wide mouth
Cons
- Brand-new listing
- No setting below 165°F
- Warranty not given
3. GoveeLife Smart Kettle with Tea Infuser – Exact Temperatures From Your Phone

GoveeLife’s kettle is a 1.7-liter stainless steel kettle with an LED screen on the base that shows both the target and the current temperature. It has four presets on the kettle itself, from 180°F to 212°F, for green tea, oolong, coffee and black tea, and the listing claims temperature accuracy to 1°F. The app lets you set other temperatures, schedule the kettle, adjust how long it keeps warm (up to two hours) and get a notification when the water has boiled. It also works with Alexa and Google Assistant.
The infuser has small holes that GoveeLife says keep leaves from escaping, and it takes loose tea or bags; take it out to use the kettle for plain hot water, coffee or cooking. Auto shut-off and boil-dry protection are standard. GoveeLife says its 1,500 watts heat a full 1.7 liters in eight minutes.
The trade-off is that the most useful features live in the app. Without it, you have four presets and a fixed keep-warm. GoveeLife also advises washing the kettle regularly and emptying it after each use to prevent scale and corrosion. The listing does not state a warranty. We checked the CPSC database: the GoveeLife recall on record covers space heaters, not kettles.
Why we like it
- Shows target and real-time temperature on the base
- App for custom temperatures, scheduling and keep-warm length
- Keeps warm for up to two hours
- Works with Alexa and Google Assistant
Key specifications
| Model | H717A |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 1.7 L |
| Temperature settings | Four presets, 180 to 212°F; custom in the app |
| Infuser | Removable fine-mesh basket |
| Keep warm | Up to 2 hours (adjustable in app) |
| Materials | 304 stainless steel |
| Power | 1,500 W |
| Warranty | Not stated in the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a tea drinker who likes precision, wants to see the actual water temperature, and is happy to use an app to schedule a morning pot.
Skip it if you want a glass kettle to watch the tea, or if you would rather not connect a kettle to Wi-Fi.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Live temperature display
- Custom temperatures via app
- Long keep-warm
Cons
- Best features need the app
- A full 1.7 L takes eight minutes, per GoveeLife
- Steel body hides the tea

4. Breville Tea Maker Compact – Four Cups and a Steep Timer

The Compact is Breville’s smaller tea maker, with a 34-ounce (four-cup) glass and stainless jug. It has the same five temperature presets as the full-size model, for green, white, oolong, herbal and black tea, but the basket does not move by itself. Instead, you set a steep time from one to five minutes for mild, medium or strong tea, and the kettle beeps when the time is up so you know to take the basket out.
The basket attaches magnetically, which Breville says makes it easy and safe to remove, and it is stainless steel and dishwasher safe. The glass is thermal-shock resistant, and like the bigger model it works as a plain kettle when you only need hot water for chocolate or instant oats.
It is the kettle to choose if counter space is short, if you live alone or as a couple, or for an RV or office. Breville gives a one-year limited warranty. The listing does not state a keep-warm function or wattage.
Why we like it
- Five tea temperature presets in a 34 oz jug
- Steep timer from one to five minutes, with a beep
- Magnetic, dishwasher-safe stainless basket
- Thermal-shock resistant glass
Key specifications
| Model | BTM500CLR |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 34 oz (4 cups) |
| Temperature settings | Five tea presets (degrees not stated) |
| Infuser | Magnetic basket, manual removal, steep timer |
| Keep warm | Not stated |
| Materials | Glass jug, brushed stainless steel |
| Power | Not stated in the listing |
| Warranty | One-year limited |
Why we recommend it
It suits a one- or two-person household that wants Breville’s tea presets and a steep timer without the size of the full Tea Maker.
Skip it if you serve tea to a table of four or more; 34 ounces goes quickly.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Small footprint
- Steep timer reminder
- Dishwasher-safe basket
Cons
- You lift the basket yourself
- Small capacity
- No stated keep-warm
5. Ovente 1.8L Glass Kettle with Tea Infuser – A Whole Pot for the Table

At 1.8 liters, Ovente’s KG661S holds the most of any kettle here, enough to steep a full pot of loose tea for a crowd, which is how Ovente pitches the included stainless steel infuser. Pour it straight from the kettle to the cups and there is no teapot to wash.
A smart-touch screen has six presets from 160°F to 212°F, and the keep-warm function holds the temperature for up to two hours. It is a 1,500-watt cordless kettle on a 360-degree base, with auto shut-off at boiling and boil-dry protection. The lid comes off completely, which leaves a wide opening for filling and for scrubbing out tea stains.
Ovente offers U.S.-based customer service and gives a two-year limited warranty, the longest stated on this page. The listing describes the body as BPA-free glass but, unlike Cosori, does not claim that no plastic touches the water.
Why we like it
- Largest capacity here at 1.8 L
- Six presets from 160°F to 212°F
- Two-hour keep warm
- Two-year limited warranty
Key specifications
| Model | KG661S |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 1.8 L |
| Temperature settings | Six presets, 160 to 212°F |
| Infuser | Removable stainless steel |
| Keep warm | Up to 2 hours |
| Materials | BPA-free glass body |
| Power | 1,500 W |
| Warranty | Two-year limited |
Why we recommend it
It suits families and anyone who makes tea for guests, with a big capacity, a useful temperature range and the longest stated warranty.
Skip it if no plastic in the water path is a must; the Cosori makes that claim and the Ovente does not.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Biggest pot
- Long keep-warm
- Two-year warranty
Cons
- No plastic-free claim
- Less detail on materials than the Cosori
6. Buydeem K2683 Tea Maker and Kettle – Programs for Herbal and Fruit Teas

Buydeem’s K2683 is a different kind of tea kettle, closer to what the maker calls a health-care beverage pot. Instead of temperature presets it has nine programs, including flowering tea and fruit tea, plus soup, dessert, yogurt and congee. Each program handles its own time and temperature, which suits drinks that need a longer, gentler heat than a quick green tea: a pot of canela sticks, a fruit tea, or dried flowers.
The tea basket lifts out on a stay-cool handle, so you can raise it to check the tea and drop it back without burning your fingers. The jug is DURAN heat-resistant glass with 316 stainless steel, according to Buydeem. A “lid in lid” design also stores a small stew pot. The capacity is 1.5 liters, and Buydeem gives a one-year warranty with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What it lacks is a simple dial for precise steeping temperatures. If you want 175°F for a delicate green tea, a temperature-control kettle is the better tool; this one is for slow-simmered herbal drinks and the odd bowl of congee.
Why we like it
- Nine programs, including flowering and fruit teas
- Lift-out basket on a stay-cool handle
- DURAN glass and 316 stainless steel
- Doubles as a small cooker for soups and congee
Key specifications
| Model | K2683 |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 1.5 L |
| Temperature settings | Nine programs (no manual temperature presets) |
| Infuser | Lift-out tea basket with stay-cool handle |
| Keep warm | Not stated in the listing |
| Materials | DURAN glass, 316 stainless steel |
| Power | Not stated in the listing |
| Warranty | One year, plus 30-day money-back guarantee |
Why we recommend it
It suits a household that drinks more herbal, flower and fruit teas than green or black, and likes the idea of one glass pot that also makes soup or dessert.
Skip it if precise temperature control is the reason you want a new kettle.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Programs for long, gentle steeps
- Cool-touch basket handle
- Multi-use glass pot
Cons
- No simple temperature presets
- Smaller than the 1.7 L kettles
- Keep-warm not stated

7. Aigostar 1.7L Glass Kettle with Tea Infuser – The Widest Temperature Range

Aigostar’s glass kettle goes lower than any other kettle here. Its five presets run from 140°F to 212°F, and each one lights the kettle a different color: green for 140°F, blue for 158°F (white tea), yellow for 176°F (green tea), purple for 194°F (black tea) and red for boiling. The lowest setting is there for the most delicate teas, which Aigostar labels simply as “delicate tea.”
The body is thick borosilicate glass with 304 stainless steel, and the removable infuser takes loose leaves or bags. The keep-warm holds 185 to 212°F for two hours; Aigostar’s instructions say to hold the 100°C button for three seconds to start it. It is a 1,500-watt cordless kettle with auto shut-off and boil-dry protection.
Aigostar suggests boiling plain water twice before first use and descaling regularly with vinegar or lemon. Note that the keep-warm range does not reach down to the lower presets, so green tea water will not be held at 176°F. The listing mentions a full year of coverage.
Why we like it
- Five presets from 140°F to 212°F
- Color-coded light for each temperature
- Borosilicate glass and 304 stainless steel
- Two-hour keep warm
Key specifications
| Model | 300104IBS |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 1.7 L |
| Temperature settings | Five presets, 140 to 212°F |
| Infuser | Removable stainless steel |
| Keep warm | 2 hours, 185 to 212°F only |
| Materials | Borosilicate glass, 304 stainless steel |
| Power | 1,500 W |
| Warranty | One year, per the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits someone who wants a simple glass kettle with an infuser and the lowest temperature setting here, and likes to see at a glance which temperature is set.
Skip it if you want delicate-tea temperatures held for a long time; the keep-warm only works from 185°F up.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Lowest preset on this page
- Easy-to-read color lights
- Glass to watch the tea
Cons
- Keep-warm skips lower temperatures
- Keep-warm needs a button hold
- One-year coverage
How to choose an electric kettle with a tea infuser
A kettle with a basket is simple in principle. The differences that matter are in how the basket is used, how low the temperatures go, and how much tea you make.
1. Automatic steeping or a basket you lift
Only the Breville Tea Maker lifts the basket out for you. Every other kettle here relies on you to remove it, though the Breville Compact beeps when the steep time is up. If you tend to walk away from the kitchen, the automatic basket is the feature worth paying for; for herbal teas and canela, which do not turn bitter quickly, a plain basket is fine.
2. The temperature range
Black and herbal teas take water at or near boiling; green and white teas are steeped cooler, and the makers’ own presets reflect that (Aigostar puts green tea at 176°F and white tea at 158°F, for example). Check the lowest setting: it runs from 140°F on the Aigostar to 180°F on the GoveeLife without the app. The two Breville tea makers name their presets by tea type and do not publish the degrees.

3. What touches the water
If you want to avoid plastic in contact with hot water, read the listing closely. The Cosori says no plastic touches the water; the others list glass or stainless bodies but do not make that claim for every part, such as the lid or the seal.
4. Capacity and keep-warm
A kettle that holds 1.7 or 1.8 liters makes a full pot for the table; the Breville Compact’s 34 ounces is for one or two. Keep-warm matters if the pot sits through a meal: the GoveeLife, Ovente and Aigostar hold for up to two hours, the Breville Tea Maker and Cosori for an hour.
5. Cleaning
Tea leaves stain baskets and glass, and hard water leaves scale. Cosori notes that white, yellow or brown deposits are mineral buildup, not rust, and recommends vinegar, lemon juice or baking soda. A wide mouth or removable lid makes all of this easier, and a dishwasher-safe basket, like the Breville Compact’s, saves scrubbing.
How we chose these seven tea kettles
We looked for electric kettles and tea makers that come with an infuser basket and, with one deliberate exception, let you pick a steeping temperature. We then compared what a kitchen cares about: how the infuser is used, the temperature range, capacity, keep-warm, materials in contact with water, and warranty. Specifications come from each Amazon listing and, for the Breville Tea Maker, Breville’s own product page. Every pick was in stock on Amazon when we checked. We searched the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall database for every brand: the recalls we found for Breville (pressure cookers), Cosori (air fryers) and GoveeLife (space heaters) do not involve kettles, and we found none for Ovente, Buydeem or Aigostar.
We left out the Chefman glass kettle with infuser because it is already a pick in our main electric kettle guide, and Japanese water boilers, which are a different kind of appliance. We skipped Hamilton Beach’s infuser kettles because stock was scarce, and a long list of lookalike glass kettles from brands we could not identify. We have not brewed with these kettles for this guide; where we describe how one performs, the description comes from its maker.
Mexican teas for an infuser kettle
The infuser basket makes the teas of a Mexican kitchen easy. For té de canela, break a stick of Ceylon cinnamon into the basket, set the kettle to boil, and let it steep for longer than you would a black tea; a little piloncillo stirred in at the end is traditional. Our guide to the best piloncillo covers which cones to buy.

Manzanilla, hierbabuena and té de limón go into the basket loose, straight from the market or the garden. Dried jamaica flowers steep to a deep red in hot water and can be sweetened and chilled as a tea, though for agua de jamaica by the pitcher a larger pot is easier. Rinse the basket soon after using hibiscus, since it stains. For a single mug at the desk, our tea infuser mug guide is the smaller option.
Tea infuser kettle questions, answered
What is the best electric kettle with a tea infuser?
For most tea drinkers, the Breville Tea Maker BTM800XL, because its basket lowers and lifts itself so the tea is never over-steeped. For a glass kettle with no plastic in contact with the water, the Cosori 1.7L.
Is an electric tea infuser kettle better than a separate infuser?
It saves a step and a teapot, and the temperature presets take the guesswork out of green and white teas. A separate infuser is more flexible and cheaper if you already own a good kettle; our tea infuser guide covers baskets and balls.
Can I boil plain water in a tea infuser kettle?
Yes. Every kettle here works as an ordinary kettle with the infuser removed, and the Breville listings specifically describe it as a hot water boiler for drinks like hot chocolate.
Which tea infuser kettle has the most temperature settings?
On the kettles themselves, the Cosori and Ovente have six presets each. The GoveeLife has four on the base but lets you set other temperatures in its app.
How do I clean the infuser and the kettle?
Empty and rinse the basket after each use. Descale the kettle regularly with vinegar or lemon and water, as Aigostar and Cosori recommend, and more often with hard water. The Breville Compact’s basket is dishwasher safe; check the manual for the others.
Our final pick for loose-leaf tea at home
Buy the Breville Tea Maker if you want the steep handled for you, or the Cosori if no plastic in the water is the priority. Choose the GoveeLife for exact temperatures and scheduling, the Breville Compact for one or two cups, and the Ovente for a big pot and a two-year warranty. For kettles without an infuser, see our main electric kettle guide; for serving, our teapot guide.
