A kitchen faucet works harder than almost anything else in the room. It fills the stockpot for pozole, rinses a sink full of tomatillos, and gets yanked around while you scrub a comal. You do not need a touch sensor or a designer finish for any of that. You need a valve that does not drip, a spray head that pulls out and goes back, and a maker that will still send a replacement cartridge in ten years.
This guide is for buyers who want exactly that and no more: the plain, entry models from Moen, Delta, Pfister, Kraus, American Standard and Peerless. They skip the electronics and premium finishes that drive prices up, but keep the basics that matter. We don’t list prices because they change; check each one on Amazon. We give the lead-free statements and warranties exactly as each maker states them.

Quick verdict: which budget faucet to buy
For most sinks, the pick is the Moen Adler Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Chrome (87233): Moen’s Power Clean spray, Reflex docking, a deck plate for one- or three-hole sinks and a limited lifetime warranty. If you want a magnetic dock and an install you can do from above the sink, choose the Pfister Talega Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet. For a low faucet under a window, the Moen Renzo Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet is the one.
This page narrows our main guide to the best kitchen faucet down to the simpler, lower-cost models. None of the faucets here repeat a pick from that guide or from our Moen and Delta brand guides.

Our picks for the best inexpensive kitchen faucet
These eight faucets come from six established faucet makers. Six are pull-down faucets with a high spout for filling pots; two are pull-out faucets with a lower spout for sinks under a window or a shelf. Each pick lists what its maker states, who it suits, and one honest reason to skip it.
1. Moen Adler Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Chrome – Strong Spray, Simple Design

The Moen Adler 87233 is the faucet we would point most budget buyers to. It is a single-handle, high-arc pull-down with the two features that matter most on a working sink: Moen’s Power Clean spray, which Moen says gives 50% more spray power than most of its pull-downs without it, and the Reflex system, which Moen says gives smooth movement and secure docking after every use.
The spray head switches between an aerated stream for everyday use and a stronger rinse for stuck-on messes, the kind left by refried beans or a pan of chilaquiles. A deck plate is included, so it fits one-hole or three-hole sinks. We link the chrome finish, which Moen describes as highly reflective. The Spot Resist Stainless version was not available when we checked, and a mirror finish will show water spots, so expect to wipe it down more often.
On safety, the listing states that every Moen residential kitchen and bath faucet complies with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and NSF 61. The Adler listing gives a limited lifetime warranty.
Why we like it
- Power Clean spray, per Moen
- Reflex docking
- One- or three-hole installation
- Limited lifetime warranty
Key specifications
| Model | Moen Adler 87233, chrome |
|---|---|
| Style | Single-handle, high-arc pull-down |
| Spray functions | 2: aerated stream, Power Clean rinse |
| Docking | Reflex system |
| Holes | 1 or 3 (deck plate included) |
| Flow rate | Not stated in listing |
| Lead-free (as stated) | Moen: all residential faucets meet SDWA and NSF 61 |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime |
Why we recommend it
It suits almost any home sink. It has the spray and docking features of Moen’s dearer faucets without touch or sensor electronics to fail.
Skip it if you want a magnetic dock; Reflex uses a weighted hose rather than a magnet.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Strong stated spray
- Bright chrome finish
- Deck plate in the box
Cons
- Flow rate not stated in the listing
- No magnetic docking
- Chrome shows water spots
2. Pfister Talega Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Matte Black – Magnetic Dock, Installs From Above

The Pfister Talega F5297TEB packs more features into an entry faucet than anything else here. Its MagnePfit magnetic docking holds the spray head in place, and Pfister’s Auto-Align turns it the right way on its own. The HydroBlade spray gives a concentrated blade of water for tough messes, with three water settings in the spray head, and wipe-clean nozzles help clear mineral buildup.
It is also built for a homeowner to install. Pfister’s TopPfit system lets you install it from above the sink with an included Quick Install Tool. TiteSeal mounting means no putty or silicone, and 36-inch integrated supply lines mean you don’t buy separate ones. The Pforever Seal ceramic disc valve is, in Pfister’s words, built to never leak.
The handle sits forward, which helps where there is little room behind the faucet. Pfister states it is NSF certified and conforms with the lead-free requirements of the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. It meets CALGreen criteria for water efficiency, and carries a limited lifetime warranty covering finish and function for as long as you own your home.
Why we like it
- Magnetic docking with Auto-Align
- Installs from above the sink
- Supply lines included
- NSF certified lead-free, per Pfister
Key specifications
| Model | Pfister Talega F5297TEB, matte black |

| Flow rate | Not stated; meets CALGreen criteria |
| Lead-free (as stated) | NSF certified; meets SDWA lead-free definition |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime, finish and function |
Why we recommend it
It suits a homeowner doing the swap alone, and anyone tired of a spray head that droops out of its dock.
Skip it if you prefer a plain two-function sprayer; three settings and a toggle are more than some cooks want.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Most install aids on this page
- Magnetic dock
- Forward handle for tight backsplashes
Cons
- Flow rate not given in the listing
- More spray settings than some need
- Matte black, not the stainless most picks here use
3. Delta Nicoli Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless – A Valve Rated for 500,000 Uses

The Delta Nicoli 19867LF-SS is one of Delta’s simplest pull-down faucets, and it is not one of the picks on our Delta guide, which leans toward Touch2O and premium lines. What you get is Delta’s core engineering: a ceramic disc valve that Delta says is tested to last at least 500,000 uses, and a Brilliance finish that Delta says is tested for corrosion resistance to at least twice industry standards.
It mounts in a single hole and fits one- or three-hole sinks on 8-inch centers with the included deck plate, and a gasket seal helps keep drips from leaking under the sink. Delta states that its faucets comply with lead-free legislation, and that the Nicoli is backed by Delta’s limited lifetime warranty.
The listing does not say how many spray settings the head has or how it docks, so look at the product photos or Delta’s spec sheet if either matters to you.
Why we like it
- Valve tested to 500,000 uses, per Delta
- Corrosion-tested Brilliance finish
- Deck plate and gasket included
- Limited lifetime warranty
Key specifications
| Model | Delta Nicoli 19867LF-SS |
|---|---|

| Holes | 1, or 3 on 8-inch centers (deck plate included) |

| Warranty | Limited lifetime |
Why we recommend it
It suits buyers who trust Delta’s valves and parts support and want the simplest pull-down in the range.
Skip it if you want the spray and docking details spelled out before you buy; this listing does not give them.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Stated valve life
- Durable finish claims
- Delta warranty and parts
Cons
- Spray modes not stated
- Docking not stated

4. Kraus Oletto Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Spot Free Stainless – Clear Dimensions, Easy Hookup

The Kraus Oletto KPF-2820SFS is the only faucet here whose listing gives every measurement you need: 16⅝ inches tall overall, 8¾ inches from the deck to the spout outlet, 8⅞ inches of reach, 360-degree swivel and 1.8 gallons per minute. The moderate height and reach make it a good fit for a smaller single-bowl sink or a kitchen with low cabinets above.
Kraus gives it a brass body with a ceramic cartridge, and a dual-function spray head that switches between an aerated stream and a stronger spray. Soft rubber nozzles let you rub away mineral buildup. The pull-down hose uses a swivel adapter and a snap-on counterweight to retract, and the water lines come pre-attached with a quick-connect sprayer hose.
It is a single-hole faucet; the listing does not mention a deck plate, so check your sink before you order if it has three holes. The Spot Free finish is meant to resist water spots and fingerprints. Kraus lists a limited lifetime warranty. The listing does not state lead-free certification.
Why we like it
- Full dimensions stated
- Brass body, ceramic cartridge
- Pre-attached water lines
- Limited lifetime warranty
Key specifications
| Model | Kraus Oletto KPF-2820SFS |
|---|---|
| Style | Single-handle pull-down; 16⅝ in tall, 8⅞ in reach |
| Spray functions | 2: aerated stream, spray |
| Docking | Snap-on counterweight |
| Holes | 1 (deck plate not mentioned) |
| Flow rate | 1.8 gpm |
| Lead-free (as stated) | Not stated in listing |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime |
Why we recommend it
It suits smaller sinks and anyone who wants to check the fit on paper before buying.
Skip it if your sink has three holes and you want a matching deck plate in the box.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Every key dimension listed
- Quick-connect hookup
- Wipe-clean nozzles
Cons
- Lead-free status not in listing
- No deck plate mentioned
5. Moen Renzo Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet, Spot Resist Stainless – Low Spout Under a Window

Not every sink has room for a tall gooseneck. Under a window, a low shelf or a cabinet, a high-arc pull-down can hit the sill. The Moen Renzo CA87316SRS is a single-handle pull-out with a low spout, sold by Moen for kitchen or laundry sinks, and it is not one of the picks on our Moen guide.
With a pull-out, the spray wand comes straight toward you rather than dropping down. That gives a shorter reach into a deep pot but more reach across the counter, handy for filling a pot that will not fit under the spout. Moen’s Power Clean spray is in the title, and the hose retracts on its own.
Moen’s Duralock quick-connect system is meant to speed up the install, and an optional deck plate covers three-hole sinks. The Spot Resist Stainless finish resists fingerprints and water spots. The listing states that every Moen residential kitchen and bath faucet complies with the Safe Drinking Water Act and NSF 61. The Amazon listing does not state the warranty, so check Moen’s terms before you buy.
Why we like it
- Low spout clears windows and shelves
- Power Clean spray
- Duralock quick-connect install
- Meets SDWA and NSF 61, per Moen
Key specifications
| Model | Moen Renzo CA87316SRS |
|---|---|
| Style | Single-handle, low-arc pull-out |
| Spray functions | Includes Power Clean (count not stated) |
| Docking | Retractable hose |
| Holes | 1, or 3 with optional deck plate |
| Flow rate | Not stated in listing |
| Lead-free (as stated) | SDWA and NSF 61, per Moen |
| Warranty | Not stated in listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits sinks under a window or low cabinet, and laundry or utility sinks where a tall spout gets in the way.
Skip it if you fill tall stockpots in the sink often; a low spout leaves less room under it.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Fits where a gooseneck won’t
- Quick-connect install
- Spot-resistant finish
Cons
- Less clearance for tall pots
- Warranty not stated in listing
6. American Standard Southport Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Chrome – A Pause Button on the Spray

The American Standard Southport 7441300.002 is a transitional-style, single-hole pull-down in polished chrome. Its handiest feature is a toggle on the spray head that switches between stream and spray and also pauses the water. That lets you move a pot from sink to stove without reaching back for the handle.
American Standard’s Re-Trax system is meant to give smooth extension, retraction and docking of the spray head. The ceramic disc valve is described as drip-free for life, the high-arc spout swivels for clearance under big pots, and the handle rotates forward so it will not hit the backsplash. Flow is 1.8 gallons per minute.
The included deck plate covers single-hole, two-hole or three-hole sinks, which is less common than one- or three-hole and useful if you are replacing an old faucet with a separate sprayer. Speed Connect hoses snap together. The listing does not state lead-free certification or the warranty term.
Why we like it
- Pause button on the spray head
- Deck plate fits 1, 2 or 3 holes
- Forward-rotating handle
- 1.8 gpm, as stated
Key specifications
| Model | American Standard Southport 7441300.002 |
|---|---|
| Style | Single-handle, high-arc pull-down |
| Spray functions | Stream, spray and pause |
| Docking | Re-Trax system |
| Holes | 1, 2 or 3 (deck plate included) |
| Flow rate | 1.8 gpm |
| Lead-free (as stated) | Not stated in listing |
| Warranty | Not stated in listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a cook who wants a pause button and anyone swapping out an old two-hole faucet.
Skip it if a stated warranty and lead-free certification matter to your decision; the listing gives neither.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Pause saves water between tasks
- Widest deck plate fit here
- Drip-free valve, as stated
Cons
- Warranty not stated in listing
- Polished chrome shows water spots

7. Peerless Parkwood Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Chrome – The Plainest Option

Peerless is a brand of Delta Faucet Company aimed at simple, practical fixtures, and the Parkwood P7935LF shows it. It is a single-handle, high-arc gooseneck pull-down with a two-function sprayer (aerated stream or spray), a 20-inch retractable hose and a spout that swivels 360 degrees.
Inside is a ceramic disk valve, and the handle has red and blue temperature indicators. It is ADA compliant, which means the handle is easy to work for people with limited grip. It fits a single hole; the 9-15/16-inch deck plate for three-hole sinks (RP100681) is sold separately, so add it to your order if you need it.
Peerless lists a lifetime limited warranty on the faucet and finish. The listing does not spell out a lead-free certification; confirm with Peerless if you need it on paper.
Why we like it
- 20-inch retractable hose
- Ceramic disk valve
- ADA compliant
- Lifetime limited warranty on faucet and finish
Key specifications
| Model | Peerless Parkwood P7935LF |
|---|---|
| Style | Single-handle, high-arc gooseneck pull-down |

| Holes | 1 (deck plate RP100681 sold separately) |
| Flow rate | Not stated in listing |
| Lead-free (as stated) | Not stated in listing |
| Warranty | Lifetime limited, faucet and finish |
Why we recommend it
It suits rentals, utility sinks and anyone who wants a basic pull-down backed by a big faucet company’s parts and warranty.
Skip it if your sink has three holes and you don’t want to buy the deck plate separately.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Simple, few parts to fail
- Easy-to-use ADA handle
- Lifetime limited warranty
Cons
- Deck plate costs extra
- Chrome shows spots
- No stated spray boost
8. Delta Daneri Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet, Stainless – Delta’s Seal in a Pull-Out

The Delta Daneri 16879-SS-DST is a modern single-handle pull-out, for sinks where a pull-down’s tall spout does not suit. It is not on our Delta guide. Its headline feature is Delta’s patented DIAMOND Seal Technology, which Delta says reduces leak points and lasts twice as long as the industry standard.
It mounts in a single hole and fits one- or three-hole sinks on 8-inch centers with the included deck plate, with a gasket seal against drips under the sink. The Brilliance stainless finish is, per Delta, tested for corrosion resistance to at least twice industry standards and third-party certified against cracking, peeling and color change.
Delta states that its faucets comply with lead-free legislation, and backs the Daneri with its limited lifetime warranty. The listing does not give spray settings or flow rate.
Why we like it
- DIAMOND Seal valve, per Delta
- Pull-out suits low clearances
- Deck plate included
- Limited lifetime warranty
Key specifications
| Model | Delta Daneri 16879-SS-DST |
|---|---|
| Style | Single-handle pull-out |
| Spray functions | Not stated in listing |

Skip it if you want spray and flow details before you buy; the listing leaves them out.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Long-life seal, as stated
- Durable finish claims
- Deck plate included
Cons
- Spray modes not stated
- Pull-out reach is shorter into deep pots
How to choose a budget kitchen faucet
Saving money on a faucet is fine. Saving it in the wrong place is not. These are the things to check.
Buy from a maker that sells parts
The cheapest part of a faucet to replace is the cartridge, and it is the part that eventually wears out. Moen, Delta, Peerless, Pfister, Kraus and American Standard sell replacement parts and publish warranty terms. Anonymous sellers often do neither. In May 2025 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled VFAUOSIT-brand kitchen faucets sold on Amazon after testing found lead that can leach into water at levels particularly harmful to infants and young children. That recall covered about 29,000 units, and CPSC announced similar actions for other budget brands sold online.
Look for a lead-free statement
Under the Safe Drinking Water Act as amended, the EPA defines “lead free” plumbing as no more than a weighted average of 0.25% lead on surfaces that touch drinking water. NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 is the standard used to certify lead content, and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 covers health effects of materials in contact with drinking water. Moen, Pfister and Delta state compliance in their listings; for the others, the Amazon listing is silent, so check the maker’s spec sheet.

Pull-down or pull-out
A pull-down has a tall spout and a spray head that drops down into the sink; it gives the most room for stockpots. A pull-out has a lower spout and a wand that comes toward you; it fits under windows and shelves. Measure from the deck to anything above the faucet before you choose.
Count the holes in your sink
Most of these faucets need one hole. If your sink or counter has three, you need a deck plate. Moen, Pfister, Delta and American Standard include one with the faucets here; Peerless sells it separately, and the Kraus listing does not mention one.
Docking and the valve
A spray head that will not stay docked is the most common complaint about cheap faucets. A magnetic dock (Pfister) or a weighted system (Moen Reflex, American Standard Re-Trax, Kraus counterweight) solves it. For the valve, Pfister, Delta, Kraus, American Standard and Peerless all name a ceramic disc valve or cartridge in their listings; the two Moen listings don’t describe the valve.
How we picked these eight faucets
We started from the entry lines of established faucet makers, the simpler models without touch, sensor or voice features, and checked each listing with Amazon’s product data for stock, model number, style, spray functions, docking, holes, flow rate, lead-free statements and warranty. Every pick was in stock when we checked. We left out every faucet already picked on our main kitchen faucet guide and our Moen and Delta guides. We left out Glacier Bay, which we did not find on Amazon, and Amazon-only brands that we could not tie to an identifiable maker with published warranty and parts support. We looked for recalls of these makers’ kitchen faucets on cpsc.gov and found none; the 2025 lead recalls we found involved anonymous brands sold online. We did not test these faucets; specifications are as each maker or listing states.

Budget faucet questions, answered
What is the best kitchen faucet under 100 dollars?
We don’t list prices because they change daily. The faucets on this page are the simpler models in each maker’s range; check current prices on Amazon, and if your budget is firm, start with the Moen Adler, the Peerless Parkwood or the Delta Nicoli.
Are the best kitchen faucets under 150 dollars worth it?
Among the faucets on this page, the differences are mostly features: a magnetic dock, more spray settings, a pause button or an easier install. If you want those, the Pfister Talega has the most of them, and the American Standard Southport adds a pause button.
Are cheap Amazon faucets safe?
Some are not. In 2025 the CPSC recalled several kitchen faucet brands sold on Amazon because they could leach lead into drinking water. Buy from a maker that states compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act lead-free definition or NSF/ANSI 61 and 372.
Can I install a budget faucet myself?
Many people do. Look for quick-connect hoses (Moen Duralock, American Standard Speed Connect, Kraus quick connect) or Pfister’s above-the-sink TopPfit. Shut off both supply valves first and follow the maker’s instructions.
Our final pick for a working sink
For most kitchens, the Moen Adler is the budget faucet to buy: strong spray, reliable docking, a deck plate in the box and a limited lifetime warranty. If you are installing it yourself and want a magnetic dock, choose the Pfister Talega; for a low spout under a window, the Moen Renzo.
If your budget stretches further, our guide to the best kitchen faucet covers touch and touchless models, and our Moen and Delta guides go deeper into each brand. Pairing it with a sink?
