USA Pan is known for one look: heavy aluminized steel, a ridged surface and a clear silicone coating. Whether you should buy it depends on what you bake. It wins major tests for loaf and muffin pans, and it draws real complaints on sheet pans and round cakes. That’s why a brand-wide answer doesn’t help much.
This guide is for buyers who have already chosen USA Pan and want to know which pieces earn their place. To compare it with other makers first, read our baking sheet guide. We have not baked in these pans for this guide. We say which reviews we read and which picks rest only on their listings.

Quick verdict: which USA Pan to buy
Start with a loaf pan. Buy the 1-Pound Loaf Pan, Set of 2 if you bake bread, or the Seamless Loaf Pan if corners annoy you, since both models are America’s Test Kitchen co-winners. Add the 12-Cup Muffin Pan for muffins. Be more careful with sheet pans, where warping is the known complaint.

Our picks for the best USA Pan bakeware
Eight different pans, not eight colors. All were sold new by Amazon with a plain in-stock status when we checked.
1. USA Pan 1-Pound Loaf Pan, Set of 2 – A Test Kitchen Co-Winner, Twice

The loaf pan is the strongest thing USA Pan makes, on the evidence we could read. America’s Test Kitchen’s review, published March 2026, names the USA Pan 1 lb Small Loaf Pan a co-winner. This listing gives you two, each 8.5 by 4.5 by 2.75 inches, in heavy aluminized steel with the ridged surface the brand is known for and its silicone nonstick coating. Two pans suit anyone who bakes sandwich bread in pairs.
ATK is honest about the flaws: “Like all folded pans, it lacked handles and had crevices in the corners that trapped food,” and the coating “still scratched slightly.” So use a soft brush in the corners, and keep metal away. USA Pan’s care page warns that sharp metal utensils will chip the coating. The single pan is on our loaf pan guide. We repeat the model here as a set because this page has to include it.
Why we like it
- ATK co-winner model
- 8.5 by 4.5 inch size suits most recipes
- Two pans for double batches
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Key specifications
| Model | 1140LF-ST-2 |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel |
| Size | 8.5 x 4.5 x 2.75 in each |
| Coating | Silicone nonstick |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per USA Pan’s care page |
| Made in | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
| Warranty | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
Why we recommend it
It suits home bread bakers and anyone who wants one reliable pan shape for loaves, pound cake and meatloaf.
Skip it if crevice-free corners matter most to you; the seamless pan below is the fix.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Strongest review on this page
- Set of two
- Easy release, per the maker
Cons
- Corner crevices trap food, per ATK
- No handles
- Scratches slightly, per ATK
2. USA Pan Seamless 1-Pound Loaf Pan – No Corners to Scrub

The seamless pan answers the folded pan’s main complaint. It has the same 8.5 by 4.5 by 2.75 inch size and the same ridged surface and Americoat coating, but the corners have no folds to catch batter. America’s Test Kitchen names the USA Pan 1 lb Seamless Loaf Pan the other co-winner.
The one trade-off ATK notes is cosmetic: loaves “just looked a little less polished than loaves baked in folded pans.” We’d accept that for an easier wash. Choose by what bothers you more, a slightly softer corner on the loaf or a brush in the crevices of the pan.
Why we like it
- ATK co-winner
- No folded corners
- Americoat silicone coating
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Key specifications
| Model | 1146LF-6 |
|---|---|

| Made in | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
| Warranty | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
Why we recommend it
It suits someone who bakes often and is tired of cleaning corners.
Skip it if you want the sharpest loaf shape; ATK found the folded pans slightly neater.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Direct, favorable review
- Fewer places to trap food
- Same practical size
Cons
- Slightly less polished loaves, per ATK
- Sold singly

3. USA Pan 12-Cup Muffin Pan with Lid – Bakes, Then Travels

America’s Test Kitchen’s August 2026 review ranks the USA Pan 12-Cup Muffin Tin its winner: “This pan produced beautiful muffins.” This listing pairs a 12-cup USA Pan with a lid, which suits bake sales and school events. The pan is made in the USA, the lid is imported, and you must let the pan cool before you put the lid on.
We match this to ATK’s pan by the brand’s 1200 model family and its 12-cup format. ATK did not review this lid listing, so take that as a close match and not a certainty. ATK adds that the pan isn’t dishwasher safe. The muffin pan without a lid is on our muffin tin guide. We repeat it here because muffins are where this brand beat all comers, Nordic Ware included.
Why we like it
- ATK’s winning format
- Lid for transport
- Each cup about 2.75 inches across
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Key specifications
| Model | 1200MFLD-ST |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel; lid imported |
| Size | 15.75 x 11.25 x 1.25 in |
| Coating | Nonstick |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per the listing |
| Made in | Pan USA; lid imported |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime, per the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits anyone who takes muffins or cupcakes to other places, or who bakes them weekly.
Skip it if you never transport baked goods; the plain pan on our muffin guide saves cupboard space.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Top-rated pan family
- Lid included
- Maker states limited lifetime warranty
Cons
- Hand washing, per ATK
- Wait for the pan to cool before covering
4. USA Pan 8-Inch Round Cake Pan – Praised and Criticized

Reviewers split on this one, so read both sides. TechGearLab, updated July 2023, makes the USA Pan 8-inch Round its Top Pick for round pans. Its only quibbles are that aluminized steel “takes slightly longer to heat up and cool down” and that there are no handles.
Reviewed, writing about the 9-inch version in October 2026, disliked it: “We disliked the dimpled bottom, which was a struggle to clean,” and it says the cakes “domed the most.” America’s Test Kitchen’s 9-inch review lands between them, with a recommendation but layers that “weren’t quite as tall” as its winner’s. The 9-inch set is on our round cake pan set guide. A flat, tall layer is not what this pan is known for.
Why we like it
- TechGearLab Top Pick at 8 inches
- 2.25 inches deep
- Limited lifetime warranty stated
- Made in the USA, per the listing
Key specifications
| Model | 1060LC |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel |
| Size | 8 in across, 2.25 in deep |
| Coating | Americoat silicone nonstick |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per USA Pan’s care page |
| Made in | USA |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime, per the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a home baker who likes a sturdy pan and doesn’t mind leveling a cake.
Skip it if you want very flat layers; ATK ranks Nordic Ware’s Naturals Nonstick round above it.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Top Pick at TechGearLab
- Heavy, solid build
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Cons
- Domed cakes, per Reviewed’s 9-inch pan
- Dimpled base is harder to clean, per Reviewed
- No handles
5. USA Pan Heavy Duty Half Sheet – A Bar Against Warping

USA Pan’s standard half sheet has one known weakness. Prudent Reviews, updated May 2026, cooked on it for months and says “one corner suddenly buckled upward pretty dramatically” at high heat. It also calls the pan “the easiest to clean by far.” America’s Test Kitchen says the Bare Half Sheet, an uncoated cousin, “warped slightly but returned to its original state upon cooling.”
This Heavy Duty pan is USA Pan’s answer, with a reinforced steel bar for added resistance to warping and a coating the listing calls PFAS, PTFE, PFOA and BPA free. We read no independent review of this exact pan, so we can’t say the bar works. The listing gives a baking surface of 17.25 by 12.25 by 1 inches, but its outer width looks like a typo, so measure from the pan’s listing photos or check with the seller. Reviewed’s notes on the standard half sheet, “corrugated bottom can be tough to clean” and “Hefty,” probably carry over.
Why we like it
- Steel bar stated to resist warping
- Coating stated free of PFAS and PTFE
- Corrugated surface
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Key specifications
| Model | 1051HS-6 |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel |
| Size | 17.25 x 12.25 x 1 in baking surface |
| Coating | Americoat silicone nonstick |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per USA Pan’s care page |
| Made in | USA, of globally sourced materials |
| Warranty | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
Why we recommend it
It suits a cook who wants a coated half sheet and hopes to avoid the warping reported on the standard pan.
Skip it if you roast at high heat often and want a proven flat pan; Nordic Ware’s half sheet didn’t warp for Prudent Reviews.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Easy cleanup reported on its sibling
- Nonstick surface
- Specific anti-warp feature
Cons
- No direct review we could read
- Heavy, going by the standard pan
- Listing’s outer size looks wrong

6. USA Pan Extra Large Sheet and Rack Set – A Big Pan With a Matching Rack

If you roast whole trays of vegetables or bacon, this pairs a big sheet with a rack made to fit. The listing gives a baking area of 20.25 by 14.25 inches, an outer size of 20.75 by 14.75 inches, and a rack of 19.75 by 13.62 inches with six raised feet and a crosswire design.
We read no independent review of this set, so it rests on the listing. It’s a large pan, so measure your oven before buying and check that your sink can take it. Since the rack is bakeable and nonstick, follow the 450 degree limit on USA Pan’s care page. The half-sheet size with rack is on our pan and rack guide, and that’s the better fit for most home ovens.
Why we like it
- Matching rack included
- Six raised feet on the rack
- Limited lifetime warranty stated
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Key specifications
| Model | 1607CRAZ-1 |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel; rack with crosswires |
| Size | 20.75 x 14.75 in pan; 19.75 x 13.62 in rack |
| Coating | Nonstick silicone |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per USA Pan’s care page |
| Made in | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime, per the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a cook with a large oven who roasts and bakes for a crowd.
Skip it if you have a standard or apartment oven, where a half sheet with rack is much easier.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Large cooking area
- Rack sold with the pan
- Useful for bacon and vegetables
Cons
- No independent review we could read
- Needs a big oven and sink
7. USA Pan 12-Inch Pizza Pan – A Simple Round for Home Pizza

A plain, heavy round pan with USA Pan’s corrugated surface and silicone coating. The listing says the ridges help air move for even baking, and warns that the pan conducts heat efficiently, which may mean a shorter time or lower temperature. Don’t go above 450 degrees F, which rules out the very hot settings some pizza recipes ask for.
We read no direct review of it. ATK’s round cake pan review did cook pizza in the 9-inch USA Pan and found that it “browned well but not as deeply as it did in darker pans.” So don’t expect a blistered crust. Our oven pizza pan guide covers other styles, including perforated pans.
Why we like it
- Corrugated surface
- Silicone nonstick, free of PTFE and PFOA per the listing
- Limited lifetime warranty stated
Key specifications
| Model | 1090PZ |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel |
| Size | 12 in |
| Coating | Silicone nonstick |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per the listing |
| Made in | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime, per the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a family that bakes homemade or frozen pizza and wants easy release more than a charred crust.
Skip it if you want to bake at top oven heat, or want a deep brown crust.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Easy release, per the maker
- Sturdy, per the maker
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Cons
- No direct review we could read
- 450 degree F limit
8. USA Pan ABC 9 x 13-Inch Pan – A Simpler Entry Line

American Bakeware Classics is USA Pan’s line for casual and beginning bakers, per the listing. This is a 9 by 13 by 2 inch pan with easy-grip handles, a corrugated surface and a coating stated as PFOA and BPA free. Note that it doesn’t claim PTFE free here, unlike Americoat listings on this page.
We read no review of this line. America’s Test Kitchen’s 9 by 13 test recommends a different pan, the USA Pan Rectangular Cake Pan, calling it “a strong performer in all tests,” though its ridges “left marks that some testers found unappealing on baked goods.” That pan is on our cake pan guide, and a keen baker might prefer it. This one is here because it is a simpler, different model with handles.
Why we like it
- Easy-grip handles
- 9 by 13 by 2 inch size
- Limited lifetime warranty stated
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Key specifications
| Model | 1110RC-3-ABC |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminized steel |
| Size | 9 x 13 x 2 in |
| Coating | Nonstick, stated PFOA and BPA free |
| Oven limit | 450 degrees F, per USA Pan’s care page |
| Made in | Not stated in the listing details we saw |
| Warranty | Limited lifetime, per the listing |
Why we recommend it
It suits a casual baker who wants a casserole and brownie pan with handles.
Skip it if you bake often enough to want the pan ATK actually tested.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Handles
- Common recipe size
- Simple care
Cons
- No independent review we could read
- Ridges may mark baked goods, going by ATK’s sibling
Where USA Pan falls short, and who to look at instead
- Warping on sheets. Prudent Reviews saw a corner of the standard half sheet buckle at high heat, and ATK saw the Bare version warp slightly before settling back. Nordic Ware’s half sheet, ATK’s winner, didn’t warp in Prudent Reviews’ check. See our baking sheet guide.
- Cake shape. Reviewed says its 9-inch cakes domed the most. ATK’s top round picks are Williams Sonoma’s Goldtouch Pro and Nordic Ware’s Naturals Nonstick, covered on our round cake pan set guide.
- Cleaning the ridges. Reviews disagree. Prudent Reviews calls the half sheet the easiest it cleaned, while Reviewed calls the corrugated bottom tough to clean, and ATK notes crevices in folded loaf pans.
- Care limits. USA Pan’s care page says not to exceed 450 degrees F, warns against sharp metal utensils and doesn’t recommend cooking sprays, which it says may stain. If you want a pan you can abuse, look at bare aluminum.
- Depth of evidence. Our direct reads cover the two loaf pans, the 8-inch round and a close match for the muffin pan. The rest rely on listings and sibling pans.

How to choose among USA Pan models
1. Start from what you bake most
Bread bakers should buy the loaf pan first and muffin bakers the 12-cup pan, since those are USA Pan’s strongest results. For a Pullman loaf, go to our Pullman loaf pan guide, which covers USA Pan’s lidded pans.
2. Decide if folded corners bother you
Folded pans give a slightly crisper loaf shape but trap food in the corners, per ATK. Seamless pans clean more easily. Both shapes rate well, so this is a matter of what you dislike more.
3. Check the coating line
Listings differ. Americoat is described as free of PTFE, PFOA and BPA, and some listings add PFAS. The ABC line states only PFOA and BPA. Read the listing for your exact model if this matters to you.
4. Mind the care rules
Use silicone, wood or nylon tools, skip cooking spray and stay at or under 450 degrees F, following USA Pan’s care page. Grease with butter or shortening instead. ATK notes that its winning muffin pan isn’t dishwasher safe, so plan on hand washing.
5. Measure before going big
The extra large sheet is nearly 21 inches long. Check your oven’s interior and your sink. Most home kitchens do better with a half or quarter sheet, and our quarter sheet pan guide has the small end of the range.
How we chose these eight USA Pan models
We started from the USA Pan listings the Amazon API returned on November 3, 2026, and kept pans sold new with a plain in-stock status, leaving out scarce listings such as the fluted tube pan. We avoided exact listings already on other pages here. Two models repeat in another listing, the 1-pound loaf and the 12-cup muffin pan, for the reasons given in their sections. We read America’s Test Kitchen’s reviews of loaf pans, muffin tins, round cake pans, 9 by 13 pans and rimmed baking sheets, plus TechGearLab’s cake pan and baking sheet reviews, Reviewed’s cake pan guide and half sheet summary, Prudent Reviews’ sheet pan comparison and USA Pan’s own care page. Nothing here was tried by Julia’s.
USA Pan bakeware questions, answered
Is USA Pan dishwasher safe?
USA Pan’s bakeware care section doesn’t mention the dishwasher, and ATK says its winning muffin pan isn’t dishwasher safe. Plan on washing by hand with mild soap and a gentle sponge.
Why does USA Pan say not to use cooking spray?
Its care page says, “We do not recommend cooking sprays as they may stain your bakeware.” Use a little butter or shortening when you need to grease.
Do USA Pan sheets warp?
Some do at high heat, going by Prudent Reviews and ATK. The Heavy Duty half sheet has a steel bar meant to help, but we read no independent report on whether it does.
What are the ridges for?
USA Pan says the ridged surface helps air move for even baking and quick release. ATK found that the ridges on one rectangular pan left marks that some of its panel didn’t like.
Has USA Pan been recalled?
The CPSC recall database we searched on November 3, 2026 returned nothing under USA Pan or its parent Bundy as a title or manufacturer. That is not a guarantee, so search cpsc.gov for your own item.
Our final pick from the USA Pan range
Buy the 1-pound loaf pans if you bake bread, and add the muffin pan next. Those are the pans that independent reviews back most clearly. If you are comparing whole sets, see our baking pan set guide. And if the oven stays off tonight, call to order from Julia’s at (346) 546-8283.
