Weber sells a long catalog of add-ons, and the hard part is working out which ones fit what you own. A rotisserie for a Spirit does not suit a kettle, a frame kit for a Genesis does nothing for a Spirit, and a hinged grate for a 22-inch kettle will not sit in a smoker. Buying first-party only helps if you buy the right part.
This guide sorts Weber’s own accessories by owner: kettles, Genesis, griddles and portable grills. For cross-brand tongs and spatula sets, see our grill tools guide. Here we stick to Weber-branded parts and to what Weber and its listings say about fit.

Quick verdict: which Weber accessory to buy
For any Weber, start with the Weber Instant-Read Thermometer, the one piece here that fits everything. On a 22-inch kettle, add the Hinged Cooking Grate so you can feed the fire without lifting the food. Genesis owners should get the Crafted Frame Kit, griddle owners the Griddle Essentials Set, and portable grill owners the Portable Grilling Tool Set. If you still use a wire grill brush, replace it first: Weber has recalled millions of them.
The table compares those five, one for each kind of owner. All eight accessories are reviewed in full after it.

Our picks for the best Weber grill accessories
These eight begin with the accessory that suits everyone, then move through each kind of Weber. Each review says what it fits, what it does not and one honest reason to pass.
1. Weber Instant-Read Thermometer – Useful on Every Grill You Own

Nearly every accessory in Weber’s catalog fits only some of its grills. A thermometer fits all of them, which is why it heads this list. Whether you run a kettle, a Spirit or a griddle, the way to know that a chicken thigh or a thick pork chop is done is to measure it.
Weber’s listing puts the readout at under 15 seconds, with a choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius and an automatic shutoff after 10 minutes of inactivity if you get pulled into a conversation. It runs on a CR2032 coin battery and the listing gives its length as about 8 inches.
For carne asada a thermometer is less useful, because the cut is thin and you judge it by color. It earns its place with whole chickens for pollo asado, thick chops and anything off a rotisserie, where the outside can look finished long before the middle is. Care is simple but strict: Weber says to clean it by hand with a dry cloth, so do not run it under the tap.
Why we like it
- Accurate readout in under 15 seconds, according to Weber
- Switches between Fahrenheit and Celsius
- Shuts itself off after 10 minutes
- Two-year warranty
Key specifications
| Model | 6750 |
|---|---|
| Fits | Any grill or griddle |
| Included | Thermometer; uses a CR2032 battery |
| Material | Not stated |
| Size | About 8 x 2 x 0.7 inches |
| Care | Wipe by hand with a clean, dry cloth |
| Warranty | 2 years |
Why we recommend it
Buy this if you do not yet own a thermometer, or if your old one takes a long time to settle. It is the one accessory here that does not depend on which Weber you own.
Skip it if you already have a faster thermometer. Fifteen seconds is slow next to the best models, and our guide to the best instant-read meat thermometer compares quicker ones from other makers.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Fits every grill and griddle
- Fahrenheit or Celsius
- Auto shutoff saves the battery
Cons
- Not the fastest reading on sale
- Needs careful dry cleaning
- Runs on a coin battery
2. Weber 22-inch Hinged Cooking Grate – Add Coals Without Lifting the Food

The original kettle grate has one weakness: when the coals run low on a long cook, you have to lift the whole hot grate, food included, to add more. This hinged grate solves that. Its sides flip up so you can drop briquettes in through the gap while the food stays put.
It is heavy-duty plated steel, made for 22-inch Weber charcoal grills, and rests on the upper prongs of the kettle. Raised handles make it easier to move. Weber puts it at 21.5 by 21.5 inches out of the carton and warns that it does not fit Smokey Mountain Cooker smokers, so check that you own a kettle and not a smoker.
For anyone who cooks over charcoal for a crowd, this matters more than it sounds. A long fajita cook means several rounds of skirt steak over a steady fire, and being able to feed the fire between rounds, without moving everything, keeps the heat where you want it.
Why we like it
- Flip-up sides for adding charcoal
- Heavy-duty plated steel
- Raised handles
- Weber names the kettles it fits and the smokers it does not
Key specifications
| Model | 7436 |
|---|---|
| Fits | 22-inch Weber charcoal grills; not Smokey Mountain Cooker |
| Included | One hinged cooking grate |
| Material | Plated steel |
| Size | 21.5 x 21.5 x 1.8 inches |
| Care | Preheat 15 minutes, then brush clean (Weber) |
| Warranty | 1-year limited |
Why we recommend it
Choose this if you own a 22-inch kettle and cook anything long enough to need a second batch of coals. It is a replacement part that behaves like an upgrade.
Skip it if your kettle already has a hinged grate, as some do, or if you own an 18-inch kettle; Weber sells a separate size for that. Look at your grate first, since a hinged one is easy to spot.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Refuel without moving food
- Replaces the standard grate directly
- Raised handles for lifting
Cons
- 22-inch grills only
- Not for Smokey Mountain smokers
- Weber’s care step needs a burn-off and a brush
3. Weber Crafted Frame Kit for Genesis – The Key to Weber’s Grillware

Weber Crafted is a family of cookware made to drop into a Weber grill: griddles, baskets and more. On a Genesis, this frame is what makes that possible. Weber says it sits under the right-side cooking grate when not in use, and that the frame kit is required to use most Crafted grillware.
To set it up, you lift out the right-side grate and the frame holds the grillware in its place. Weber lists it for Genesis gas grills from 2016 on, including the 2022 E-325s, EX-325s, S-325s and SX-325s. Genesis II 300 owners also need Crafted cooking grates, either 7853 in porcelain-enameled cast iron or 7852 in stainless steel, and Genesis II 400 owners need 7854.
It does nothing on its own, so buy it with a plan. A griddle insert is the natural first step for a taco night: our gas grill griddle insert guide reviews Weber’s Crafted griddle, and our gas grill grates guide covers the matching grates.
Why we like it
- Opens up Weber’s Crafted grillware on a Genesis
- Stores under the right-side grate
- Weber lists fit by model and year
- Fits Genesis grills back to 2016
Key specifications
| Model | 7677 |
|---|---|
| Fits | Genesis gas grills 2016 and newer |
| Included | One frame insert |
| Material | Not stated |
| Size | Not stated |
| Care | Not stated |
| Warranty | Not stated |
Why we recommend it
Pick it if you own a Genesis and want griddling, roasting or wok-style cooking on the grill you already have. It is the part that lets one grill do several jobs.
Skip it if you own a Spirit, because this kit is sold for Genesis, or if you have no plans for Crafted grillware. Older Genesis II owners should price in the extra grates Weber requires.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Stores out of the way when not in use
- Clear model-by-model fit from Weber
- Unlocks a wide range of grillware
Cons
- Does nothing without grillware
- Genesis II grills also need Crafted grates
- Materials and warranty not stated

4. Weber Griddle Essentials Set, 5-Piece – Flip, Scrape and Squeeze

If you bought a Weber griddle, this is the set Weber built to go with it. It has five pieces: a griddle spatula for heavier food, a flexible spatula for sliding under delicate items, a scraper for grease and grime, and two squeeze bottles for oil and water.
Having two spatulas is the useful part. A stiff one moves piles of onions and steak, and a flexible one gets under a pancake or a thin quesadilla without tearing it. The bottles do the job a restaurant flat top depends on: a squeeze of water creates steam, and a squeeze of oil keeps the steel slick.
The tools are stainless steel with no-slip handles and a loop for hanging by the grill. Weber lists all the pieces as dishwasher safe and the bottles as BPA-free plastic and silicone, and it backs the set with a two-year warranty. The bottle size is not stated on the listing. Weber also sells a three-piece starter version without the flexible spatula and second bottle, but the flexible spatula is what we would keep.
Why we like it
- Two spatulas: one stiff, one flexible
- Stainless scraper for cleanup
- All pieces dishwasher safe, according to Weber
- Two-year warranty
Key specifications
| Model | 6776 |
|---|---|
| Fits | Made for Weber griddles; tools not tied to one model |
| Included | 2 spatulas, scraper, 2 squeeze bottles |
| Material | Stainless steel; BPA-free plastic and silicone bottles |
| Size | Not stated |
| Care | Dishwasher safe |
| Warranty | 2 years |
Why we recommend it
Buy it with a new Weber griddle or griddle insert, when you have nothing suited to flat-top cooking. It is a smaller, tidier kit than the large boxed griddle sets.
Skip it if you already own a griddle spatula and scraper, or if your griddle surface is coated and the maker warns against metal. For more choice, compare it with the sets in our outdoor griddle accessories guide.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Stiff and flexible spatulas
- Dishwasher safe throughout
- Hang loops on the handles
Cons
- No tongs in the set
- Bottle size not stated
- Metal edges are not for every surface
5. Weber Crafted Rotisserie Crisping Basket – Fries and Wings on the Spit

This stainless steel basket clips onto a rotisserie spit and tumbles food over the heat, which Weber likens to air frying. It suits diced potatoes, wings, Brussels sprouts and anything else you want crisp on all sides without a pan. A removable divider lets you run two foods at once.
It needs a rotisserie, which is sold separately. Weber lists it for Genesis 2016 and newer, Spirit 2016 and newer, and Summit gas grills, plus 22-inch Weber charcoal grills with a rotisserie unit. At 20.75 by 9.85 by 9 inches it is a large piece, and Weber’s FAQ says only 2022 Genesis grills can take it without removing the cooking grates.
Weber’s basket list does not mention the Searwood, so pellet owners should confirm before buying. The basket itself goes in the dishwasher, which is a real help after wings.
Why we like it
- Removable divider for two foods at once
- High-grade stainless steel
- Dishwasher safe
- Two-year limited warranty
Key specifications
| Model | 7676 |
|---|---|
| Fits | Genesis 2016+, Spirit 2016+, Summit; 22-inch charcoal with rotisserie |
| Included | Basket and divider; rotisserie not included |
| Material | Stainless steel |
| Size | 20.75 x 9.85 x 9 inches |
| Care | Dishwasher safe |
| Warranty | 2-year limited |
Why we recommend it
Pick it if you already own a rotisserie and want it to earn its keep on weeknights, not only for whole birds. Papas with chile and lime, tumbled until crisp, make a good side for tacos.
Skip it if you have no rotisserie, because the basket does nothing alone, or if your grill needs its grates removed and you do not want the extra step.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Crisps food without a pan
- Two foods at once with the divider
- Easy cleanup in the dishwasher
Cons
- Requires a rotisserie
- Grates must come out on most grills
- Not confirmed for Searwood

6. Weber Portable Grilling Tool Set, 2-Piece – Short Tools for a Small Grill

Portable grills have short cooking surfaces, and long tools are awkward to pack and to use on them. This two-piece set holds a compact spatula and a pair of locking tongs, and the locking tongs close up small for a tote or a car trunk.
Both tools are stainless steel with a metal hanging loop at the base of the handle, and the listing rates them dishwasher safe. Weber sells them as compact and easy to carry, without naming a grill, so they suit a Q, a Traveler or a Smokey Joe equally well.
For a tailgate or a beach cookout, two tools are usually enough: one to turn the fajita meat, one to lift tortillas off the grates. Weber’s listing does not give lengths, so check them if you need a certain reach. For a larger grill, the full-length sets in our grill tools guide are the better buy.
Why we like it
- Compact for carrying
- Spatula and locking tongs
- Stainless steel with metal hanging loops
- Dishwasher safe
Key specifications
| Model | 3401326 (listing also shows 3400213) |
|---|---|
| Fits | Any grill; compact design |
| Included | Spatula, locking tongs |
| Material | Stainless steel |
| Size | Lengths not stated |
| Care | Dishwasher safe |
| Warranty | Not stated on the listing |
Why we recommend it
Choose this set if you own a portable Weber and do not want your full-size tools rattling around the car. It is a small, focused kit for grills that travel.
Skip it if you cook on a full-size grill. Short tools put your hand closer to the fire, which is the opposite of what you want over a big bed of coals.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Packs small
- Locking tongs stay shut in a bag
- Dishwasher safe
Cons
- Lengths not stated
- Too short for large grills
- No carry case listed
7. Weber Rapidfire Compact Chimney Starter – Sized for Small Kettles

A chimney starter lights charcoal with no lighter fluid, and this compact version is sized for the small end of Weber’s range. The listing calls it ideal for smaller grills or shorter grilling sessions and says it fits on Smokey Joe and Jumbo Joe grills, at 8 by 5.8 by 10.4 inches.
You load it with coals, set it over Weber Lighter Cubes or crumpled newspaper and light the base. Weber says coals light in under 15 minutes. That is well suited to a short cook such as a few tacos’ worth of carne asada on a small kettle, where a full-size chimney would hold more coal than you need.
It also has a use on larger grills: a compact chimney lights a top-up batch, which you can drop through a hinged grate like the one reviewed above. For a full fire on a 22-inch kettle, you want the bigger model, and our chimney starter guide compares it with others.
Why we like it
- Sized for Smokey Joe and Jumbo Joe grills
- Lights coals in under 15 minutes, according to Weber
- No lighter fluid needed
- Two-year limited warranty
Key specifications
| Model | 7447 |
|---|---|
| Fits | Fits on Smokey Joe and Jumbo Joe; useful for any charcoal grill |
| Included | One chimney starter |
| Material | Not stated |
| Size | 8 x 5.8 x 10.4 inches |
| Care | Not stated |
| Warranty | 2-year limited |
Why we recommend it
Pick it if you own a small Weber kettle, or want to light a small top-up batch for a big one. It takes up little space in the car.
Skip it if you cook mainly on a 22-inch kettle and need a full load of coals. Weber does not state a capacity on this listing, and its compact size may mean two rounds for a big fire.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Compact for small grills
- No lighter fluid
- Handy for top-up coals
Cons
- Too small for a full 22-inch fire
- Capacity not stated
- Needs a heat-safe spot to set down
8. Weber Cold Clean Brush and Scraper – Nylon, No Metal Wire

Read the wire brush section further down this page first, because it explains why this tool is here. This two-in-one cleaner pairs a nylon bristle brush with a plastic scraper on a no-flex handle, and neither end is metal.
It has one firm rule. Weber says it is designed for cool interior grill components only and warns against using it on a hot grill, so clean the grill after it has cooled, not while it is running. The listing says it is safe on all Weber grates and cookboxes and on interior grill components, and that it will not scratch them.
This is not a bristle-free tool, and we want to be clear about that. It does have nylon bristles, and a check of the grate before you cook is a good habit with any brush. We looked for a bristle-free Weber grate cleaner on Amazon and did not find one, and a nylon cold-cleaning brush is what Weber itself is sending out as the replacement for its recalled wire brushes.
Why we like it
- Nylon bristles and plastic scraper, no metal wire
- Scratch-free, according to the listing
- Works on grates, cookboxes and burners
- One-year limited warranty
Key specifications
| Model | 3401321 |
|---|---|
| Fits | All Weber grates and cookboxes, cool only |
| Included | One two-in-one brush and scraper |
| Material | Nylon bristles, plastic scraper |
| Size | Not stated |
| Care | Use on a cool grill only; dishwasher use not stated |
| Warranty | 1-year limited |
Why we recommend it
Choose this if you are replacing a wire brush and want to stay with Weber. It also suits cleaning the inside of the cookbox and the burners.
Skip it if you want to clean grates while the grill is hot, which this tool is not for, or if you would rather have no bristles at all. A wood or other bristle-free scraper from another maker is the alternative, though it is outside this Weber-only list.
Pros and cons
Pros
- No metal wire
- Safe on all Weber grates, per the listing
- Scraper and brush in one tool
Cons
- Cool grill only
- It still has bristles, though nylon
- Size and dishwasher use not stated
If you still own a Weber wire brush
On February 26, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recall 26-282, covering more than 3.2 million Weber metal wire bristle grill brushes. The agency says small metal wire bristles can detach, stick to the grill or food, and create an ingestion hazard with a risk of serious internal injuries.
The recall lists model numbers 6277, 6278, 6463, 6464, 6493 and 6494, found on the packaging. CPSC tells owners to stop using the brushes immediately and contact Weber, which is providing a cold-cleaning nylon bristle brush as the replacement. If your brush has metal bristles and you no longer have the packaging, check with Weber on 877-597-9588. In a statement on the recall, the CPSC chairman went further: the agency strongly urges consumers to stop using and discard grill brushes with metal wire bristles and switch to non-wire alternatives. The same statement advises inspecting the grill surface for detached bristles before grilling and examining food closely.

How to match an accessory to your Weber
Fit is the whole job here. Four checks will save you a return.
1. Find the model and the year
Weber’s fit lists run by model line and year, and “Genesis” alone does not tell you enough. Weber separates Genesis II 300, Genesis II 400 and the 2022 models, and each needs a different mix of parts. The model name is usually on the grill’s data label.
2. Check the fuel type
Gas, charcoal, pellet and electric grills do not share many parts. A hinged grate is charcoal only, tool hooks that fit a kettle do not fit a gas grill, and rotisserie kits are sold by grill family.
3. Check what else you need
Several Weber accessories only work with another purchase. The crisping basket needs a rotisserie. Crafted grillware needs a frame kit, and on some Genesis II grills it also needs Crafted grates. Add up the whole system before you start.
4. Weber’s part or a third-party one
Third-party makers such as Stanbroil and Onlyfire sell parts for Weber grills, and some fill real gaps, such as rotisseries for a 22-inch kettle. Weber’s own parts come with its fit lists and its warranty, which is what this guide is for. Our guide to a Weber grill cover covers both kinds, and so does our charcoal grill accessories guide.
How we picked these eight Weber accessories
We kept this list to Weber-branded products sold on Amazon in the United States and in stock when we checked, then looked for one strong piece for each kind of owner. Specifications come from Weber’s site and its Amazon listings, and where we relied on a retailer or a buyer’s comment we say so. We have not cooked with these products ourselves.
We left out Weber items already reviewed on our other pages, such as its covers, its full-size chimney and its Precision tool sets. We also left out Weber’s Crafted Glazed Baking Stone because we could not find a Weber statement on what is in the glaze. Recall details come from the CPSC’s own notice.
Weber accessory questions, answered
What are the best grill accessories Weber makes for a kettle?
A hinged cooking grate for adding coals, a chimney starter for lighting them, and an instant-read thermometer. Together they cover the fire and the food. Our charcoal grill accessories guide adds more options.
Do Weber accessories fit other grills?
Tools, thermometers and chimneys fit anything. Grates, frame kits and rotisseries are made for specific Weber models, and Weber warns that compatibility is not guaranteed outside them.
Do I need the Weber Crafted frame kit?
For most Crafted grillware, yes. Weber says the frame kit is required for most of it. Check your grill’s model and year, because the kit reviewed here is sold for Genesis grills and some older models also need Crafted cooking grates.
Is a nylon grill brush safe?
A nylon brush has no metal wire, which is the hazard named in Weber’s recall. Weber says to use it only on a cool grill, so let the grates cool first. Wipe the grates and look them over before you cook, whichever tool you use.
Can I add a rotisserie to any Weber?
No. Weber sells rotisserie kits by grill family. Both the kit for Spirit gas grills and the Searwood 600 and the 22-inch kettle rotisserie showed as out of stock when we checked, so confirm availability for your grill before you plan around one. If you are still choosing the grill, our guide to the best rotisserie grill is worth a look.
Our final word on Weber add-ons
Buy for the grill you own. Everyone can use the thermometer. After that, the hinged grate suits a kettle, the frame kit a Genesis, the essentials set a griddle, and the portable tools a Q or Traveler. And if there is a wire brush hanging by your grill, deal with that before anything else. For the wider picture beyond Weber, our grill tools guide compares tool sets from several makers.
